    4. Indian Contemporary Pillar Design | Fx3Designs

    The face of the house was Indian Design to reflect the material palette of our gods own country, a classic combination. Nestled away in the temple town of Thrissur is this house of 2000 sqft, which includes 3 & ½ bedrooms, living & kitchen. We were given the opportunity to renovate the exterior & interior of this space. Client requirement was to have a space that embraces our culture and still be modern in its many faces.

    5. Minimalist Wood | The Art Container

    The client, rooted in the cultural context of pol houses of Ahmedabad, aspires to create a modern abode that reflects a harmonious blend of contemporary aesthetics while preserving the rich legacy of heritage. Residing within the UNESCO-inscribed walled city of  Ahmedabad, the dwelling exudes a solemn ambiance, embodying Indian rituals and customs. Drawing inspiration from the iconic pol houses, key spatial elements such as doors, windows, columns, and brackets serve as expressive motifs within the interior spaces.

    6. Stone And Wood | DESIGN MATTERS

    The patterned CNC skylight animates the mud block walls and kota floors with interesting shadow patterns to create a dramatic ever changing effect. The stone and wooden columns are in the traditional design of our temples and ancient buildings.

    7. Feel Of Chettinad | HIRAYA DESIGN STUDIO

    The windows on the facade of the whole structure have been customized to bring in a Chettinad feel to it with a dramatic grill design with a section of green colored flora glass over it, the manufacture of which has been discontinued in this region, which got us to look high and low to source it. Right above it is a row of concrete Molded design. The roofing material is the local Mangalore tiles below which is the arched Wood Design which is an interesting feature on the façade.

    A water harvesting pond connected to percolation pits and trenches in the bare ground helps recycle water on site. Solar panels finds its purpose in water heating and part of other electrical consumption.

    9. Stone Courtyard Pillar | VRIKSH

    The Courtyard, though a small one, is the focal space in the entire house with the hand stone carved pillars, with the stone imported from the local stone quarries. It is open to sky and a lovely space to enjoy the Mangalore rains. A traditional wooden and brass swing to cozy-up with a book and a cup of tea of the lazy afternoons!

    12. An Array Of Gold | Swakrit Design Private Limited 

    The client wanted the retail space to have warmth of a home, and functionality of a retail space. Also, the showroom was to be part museum (of craftsmanship and design). Balancing all these aspects, while maintaining basic functionalities of a retail space was a big challenge. This was overcome by planning a detailed customer journey with the client, where we laid out all elements, making sure the retail experience was always at the forefront.

    13. Symmetric Placement | P Square Designs

    The dining space is minimalistic with a centered dining table and comfy modish chairs, and wall art. The ceiling is the cynosure of the entire space. It plays in defining the space by making its aristocracy felt. Done using stretch fabric, it takes a hemispherical shape with a backlight and circular geometric lines- to merge into a wooden circular centerpiece and a designer fan.

    25. Functional And Aesthetic | TI:DO

    A new outlet for a health forward cafe in New Delhi has been designed by Tangible Intangible Design Office, or TI:DO, as they are also known. Commissioned by the women-led brand UNCAFE, architectural design firm TI:DO was assigned the task of developing a design language for their new outlet that, within its 800 square feet, could encapsulate the brand’s identity and personify the uniqueness of their food offerings with a unique spatial design.

    The house and the walkway encompassing it, has sloping roofs finished in Mangalore clay tiles, procured directly from the pioneer of clay tiles in Mangalore. The front elevation consists of 12 pillars roofing the front porch and decks which exemplify scale and symmetry.

    The store follows designer Neeta Kumar’s signature style of classic values woven into contemporary mores with a sprinkling of design influences from around the world to evoke a quaintly grand vibe.     There is a small Executive cabin for ex-pats who work for this company who rarely visit this office. It gives a very spacious feel for 20 employees. The pillar design highlighting the area with origami shaped branches at edges. This branch’s idea came in thoughts in space utilizing teamwork mainly while designing. Thought behind Branches expands, the business should expand. The workspace also to be so powerful, so we placed a big and nice Prayer area in the office.
