Talking about the Landscape, we wanted it to overpower the architecture and interior. There are two small gardens at the entrance of the project and a garden at the back. There are potted plants on the front facade which adds to the beauty of the building. The main attraction of the whole project is the terrace garden on the top, as specified by the clients we had to utilize the common terrace in the best manner possible and in the city like Ahmedabad where there are high temperatures in summers, greens are the best solution to it.

This necessitated that the compound wall of the building, along the length of the forest reserve, be taller, at least 8 to 9 feet in height. This setting of the site situated between a semi covered stilt on one side and a tall wall on the other side immediately gave the site an ambivalent character that was animated by a certain quality of light and shadow. A certain kind of cavernous space which is washed by light from the sky to create a somber, yet cheerful, atmosphere. Once this spatial quality was identified and discovered, the intention of the project was to enhance this spatial quality through careful and minimal spatial articulation.

    Pergola On A Deck

The architecture is based on the structural modulation of the floor plan into regular spans that form a prismatic pavilion, with a 4.00 x 4.00 grid defining the dimensions of the internal spaces of the residence. The pavilion is supported by metallic pilotis set back 2.00m from the edges of the construction, and a taipa platform emerges transversely from this, consisting of 2 decks: front (social access and garage) and back (solarium, fire pit, and pool).

    Pergola For Internal Courtyard

The foyer unit not only defines the foyer area but also provides a glimpse of the green space that lies ahead. As one transcends further, they are taken aback by massive internal courtyards on either side of the walkway that connects to the living area. The courtyard on the right facing the road opens to the sky through an L- shaped skylight that creates an invisible veil between the internal and external landscape.
