luxurious Pent House Design By FADD Studio

luxurious Pent House Design By FADD Studio for an avid nature and photography lover with earthy and Zen elements. This home is unabashed about using earthy tones in some areas and soft pastels in others; about subtlety in one corner and opulence in another. The whole shell is an unobtrusive beige-grey colour in amour coat. Wood and cement are predominant materials. The highlight of this house is Japanese style raised tea area in bamboo prudently positioned under a double height origami-inspired chandelier that is set against large curtain-less windows. The tea table is a work of art and the chandelier emits just the right light on it. The living space houses a blue and rust cluster with a vibrant rug. Adjacent to this, a plush and stylish piano room has two conversation chairs against a vintage mirror. On the opposite wall, a sculpted marble bench, a sculptural black floor lamp and an ethnic artwork are seen against the wooden mosaic wall creating an overall feeling of eclectic-ness.

Shantigram Penthouse |  Little Box Studio

The design is a showcase of the bond between the traditional roots and the modern minimalistic lifestyle of the Clients.

The entry to the Penthouse, via its surreal main door, is an experience in itself. The visual and physical massiveness of the design adds to the grandeur of the place. Repetitive pyramidal massing and subsequent grooving, inspired by traditional temple doors, enhance the sanctity of the space. The doorway leads to an entrance foyer – a double heightened space which adorns an enchanting central Christian base chandelier hung from a recessed wooden false ceiling. A play of tiered wooden strips, with thin traditional carvings wrapped around the foyer, adorns the visual journey one experiences as they look at it through the glass windows of the staircase atrium. The entire design theme of the house – They are one of the few elements in the house that strike the perfect chord between the traditional and the modern.

    H-Cube House | Studio Lagom

The H-Cube House in Surat strikes a contemporary and modern note in a nondescript urban milieu. Bagged with the help of positive word of mouth, this assignment came almost immediately on the heels of a larger villa project that was more than 10 times the scale of the present project. And that was precisely what was attractive and challenging: its compact size. The site was a 35’ x 35’ corner property in a densely populated community of urban Surat. The square dimension meant the absence of a long axis that could have otherwise been used as a base for spatial articulation. The exercise thus became centred around as much creating a good space as proving to ourselves that we had the capability of surmounting the challenges posed by a small scale and its detailing.

    Vadodara Apartment | A+T Associates

The design scheme for this Vadodara apartment combines multiple visual inspirations and lots of custom-designed furniture pieces to create colourful but elegant interior spaces.

This swish new apartment (2,000 sq. ft. area) is situated in a posh locality at Vadodara, Gujarat. The London-based client wanted young, buoyant, cheerful and fresh looking interiors. “As you enter this plush apartment, the first visual clue to the kind of luxury that will follow is the clean, pure white aesthetics peppered with beige neutral tones and occasional bursts of colours on the furniture and walls,” states the team. In the foyer, a wooden hanging console unit is paired with a backdrop of half-veneer wall panelling, with some groove patterns and an off-centre hanging light adding more beauty. “To add some more drama, a custom-designed mirror in the form of a dry leaf has been placed here asymmetrically.”

    Skewed House | Studio Lagom

From Architects: An interesting book, an engaging thought, a flight of fantasy or nothingness… A private sanctuary that is the garden at Skewed House. Solitude in the midst of golden-hearted Champa blossoms; unwinding to the tune of the wind chime.

Material shifts and elevational modulation establishes the programmatic changes within the Skewed House. A nine-foot exposed concrete cantilever marks the master bedroom, a strategic communication about family hierarchy. Similarly, an L-shaped glass inset reveals the internal free standing Pooja tower, reiterating the significance of spirituality.

Yari Road House | Amit Shastri Architects

    The Project:

Amit Shastri Architects & Interior Designer(ASA) is known for their detail-driven work with the crisp programming of lines and spaces. The client’s brother, who’d already been a client of the firm, was well acquainted with ASA’s work and had strongly recommended that his brother goes with ASA on this project. The 3-BHK apartment project had a precise brief: the owners lived abroad and this was to be their holiday home in India. They wanted a modern, contemporary space which would be easy to maintain, felt like a cosy home and yet had unique elements to make it stand apart.

    Detailed Design Note:

The architect enjoyed a carte blanche in designing and execution of the home. The programme was evolved after studying the lifestyles and habits of the couple and their two school-going girls in detail. The intent was to create a design mark while optimizing the function of the space. The first step to the design was to carefully consider the space, purposefully design and position the furniture and derive efficient solutions integrating each element to form a part of the larger design.
