The House NINETY SIX belongs to a joint family where three generations are living together under one roof. The client’s brief was to have a place where they can host their guests and spend some family time with their friends and family.
This Three Generation House has a Warm and Cozy Material Palette | Green Hive Studio
So, initially, when we began to think about revamping the whole space, we wanted to have as much as sunlight we could have inside all our spaces, so we decided to shift a few walls and relocate the functions of the three generation house as per vastu and the convenience of the client.
Later, when we did freeze our layouts, we decided to keep our material palate quite warm and cosy in a minimal manner but still give the essence of luxury. Since there were load-bearing walls in the space, initially clients were reluctant to break down their old walls and get new ones made, but we did it in a very strategic manner and efficiently reshuffled our zones.
We designed their drawing room in minimal luxury style with big windows looking towards the mini lawn area that we created outside.
The whole drawing room space is designed to have a vibrant look in beige and green colour tones with a touch of gold everywhere, and the custom-made layered centre table stands as a master piece in the space. Not only that, we also got custom-made ribbed monolithic side tables that stand as a masterpiece itself.
Then in the corner, we have created a décor niche in a golden PU finish. This is to just add a bit of jazz in the dead corner, which will definitely make you miss it. Then the fluted glass sliding partition separates the area from the double-height dining area.
The Dining area is designed in a minimal luxe style with some quirky colours and patterns to amp up the whole centre space of the house, whether it’s the inlay flooring pattern, the long console unit, the calsecud wall texture paint, or the long chandelier. Moreover, to add the cherry on the cake, we custom-made mood artwork for the double-height wall. All storages are also well designed and well managed in the long console and the tall black-tinted glass to store the crockeries.
Along the dining area, we have planned a lounge area that is designed in a way that would give you a sense of calmness. Moreover, the elements used are all in monotone, featuring a play of textures and patterns. To highlight the wall, we created a 3D artwork on the panelling. Thus, evoking zen vibes and uplifting the entire look. In the background, we have used shimmery textured wallpaper. The dual-shaded, custom-made sofa complements the whole essence of the space.
The Kitchen was purposely shifted to the now-designed location as per the Vastu of the house and also to make it more viable, not just for the cooking but for the family to have their quality time as well there.
The French-style sliding door maintains the eccentricity of the dining and the kitchen amps up the kitchen entryway. Thus, making it more enjoyable for the family and their guests.
