Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the Mumbai traffic, spread over an area of 683 square foot rests a quaint and cozy home we like referring to as ‘The Nest’. Home for a family of three this house is neatly spread out into two bedrooms, a kitchen and a living area.
Editor’s Note: This house nestled in the bustling city of Mumbai creates warm and vibrant “The Nest” for the family of three. The white living room creates a vibrant and playful symphony when with the splash bright yellow at the right places in right amount. The house follows the same calming white through the rooms with the hint of plush pink and alluring green adding to the vibrant vibe of the house. The furniture and the texture gives a Mediterranean vibe to the house. ~ Shagun Shah

The living room exhibits a casual yet warm narrative with pops of yellow, green foliage decals and rattan details with wooden furniture. The unique angular wall in the living area invites a Mediterranean vibe along the sofa wall that flaunts a bright yellow window with mirrors on a white brick wall.
The TV unit is a refurbished piece of furniture with rattan details adding to the charm along with customized vertical shelves that follow an asymmetric geometry of arches.
A foldable wooden dining table for two is attached to a yellow painted arch, the play of similar arch like shapes continue on the wall in a different color to add more drama in the corner whereas wooden art frames find themselves hung on neat vertical wooden members to create a playful vibe. The wall adjacent to the dining invites a decal of coconut trees which completes the vivacity of the scenario.
The study room hosts a long working table with playful details on the wall like wooden shelves and wooden knobs. A tall storage unit finished in a combination of pink and Birchwood completes the elevation. The resting or seating corner adds an element of amenity to the room.
The master bedroom is enveloped in a material palette that is inviting of nature in the form of colors, patterns and prints. The walls are divided into the colors sage green and warm grey, each acting as a perfect canvas for the details created. On the wall along the bed, the rattan details create a connectivity with the rest of the house while the prints on the headboard fabric add a dash of freshness to the space. The study unit has shelves attached to a long brass rod, the brass detail goes on to continue on the wardrobe handles, knobs and wall hangings.
In relation to the aforementioned details, this family home is the perfect synonym to bright, warm and effervescent; with its endearing coziness.
