The brief was to design a space that is fresh and elegant and livable where each room tells a different story and is personal to the residents and their lifestyle. Dropping Design Hints At Every Turn… Let’s take a tour…
The devil is in details! Upon entering the apartment, the entrance foyer immediately impresses with its carefully curated elements. One is greeted with a neutral palette, with hues of white and grey and a false wooden ceiling, it has aesthetically placed mirrors as wall décor. Special attention has been given to the height of the furniture to ensure comfort and convenience.
The next stop is the living area, spacious layouts and functionality drive this home’s design narrative, ensuring ease of movement and accessibility. The layout of the living room has been modified to transform a lengthy, mundane space into an eye-catching one.
After brainstorming multiple times, the designer decided to play with prints and textures of fabric to break the monotony of white color in the living and dining areas. It was further layered with bold highlighting blue to bring balance and break the pattern.
An ecstatic yet poised living room is setting the bar high the dining area is adorned with a large dining table and a beautiful wall decorated behind it along with a glass wardrobe concealing the crockery with aesthetics & service platform on the side. The theme from the living room is carried forward to the dining area and kitchen.
The kitchen gives a subtle look with seamless white and blue use as a highlighter with a platform covering one single wall keeping the rest space open and airy.
Moving on to bedrooms, all four thoughtfully-curated bedrooms ensure privacy and tranquility.
Master Bedroom : The Master room is clutter-free, minimal, and luxurious, all at once. With a hint of blue, this room makes for a perfect abode for the homeowner. Meticulous attention has been paid to selecting furniture, lighting, and accessories, with many lighting fixtures being custom-made. Artworks and decor items were thoughtfully sourced from various places including local artisans and well-established stores with the partnership of a stylist. The room is designed in accordance with the personality of the residents and their tastes.
Parent’s Bedroom : A neutral palette is sophisticated, while deep red is established through history as the color of luxury and an ultimate hue of extravagance. The parent’s bedroom has been made elegant yet eclectic where Pop color chair complements the white-beige room.
The overarching theme of this room has been designed keeping in mind a sense of style as well as functionality.
Guest Bedroom : One is greeted in the guest bedroom with a calm vibe. The room displays a pop of cool green with minimal details. It is Compact yet commodious. Just by simplifying the color palette, the room maintains the tranquility of the space.
Kid’s Bedroom : The designer took inspiration from fond memories and turned it into a fairytale room with unicorns, pastel colors, and a bunk bed with steps to create a sense of fun and nostalgia that takes you back to your childhood.
The room gave us free rein to do what we felt would be best in their given brief and it really turned out great.
Finally, the right finishing materials and refined decor selection should further enhance the composition. The entire house is nuanced with custom, elegant pieces made on-site to meet the homeowners’ lifestyle.
