Doing the interiors of a retail store is always a challenge as there are numerous colourful products to be displayed, limited time to finish up the interiors and a dozen technicals to be taken care off. The brief for the interiors of ‘Dharmachakra (DC)’; which houses women’s accessories, bags, footwear, and imitation jewellery; was to deliver the store within 40 days. This retail store offers a seamless experience of aesthetical purchase following a strict budget and making its interiors simplistic yet aesthetic.

We felt the need to play extensively with extremely neutral tones, so that the interiors serve as a background for the brand’s stylist and colourful products.
To balance the overall white display shelves, juxtaposition of colour blocked boxes was done to add to the playfulness. These colour blocked boxes hold the ‘product of the month’ or the brand’s ‘best seller’.
Visual perceptions of surroundings are almost everything in a store design, so we created a variant height by playing with a curved ceiling at the entrance, making the space more welcoming.
Negative spaces act as positive influence for redirecting attention in any retail store, this store having an area of 525 Sq.ft, we made sure to smartly play with the negative spaces and placed mirrors in most of those places to avoid losing an inch of any display space.
