The Colorful Vaastu Compliant Home | Transform Designstudio

Nestled in one of the high-rise towers of Mumbai, this contemporary home is an amalgamation of creative ideas, a fresh color palette, and cozy corners that create a vibe for every occasion. The Clients were looking for a designer and a design firm, who would completely renovate and revamp the space from scratch and give life to their home that not only oozes class and comfort but is functionally aesthetic as well. Keeping the brief in mind, this 1100 sq ft home has been given an absolute fresh take on modern urban living for a family of four and their dog, by turning every inch of space into something beautiful and functional to make this open living-dining-kitchen concept home practical, inspiring and welcoming for life’s many moments reflecting the client’s lifestyle and personality.

The biggest challenge was to make this home a Vaastu-Compliant house for the clients keeping all the Vaastu color requirements and design changes in mind. Thus started the initial concept of planning and zoning for this home by breaking down the kitchen wall to give it an open living-dining area, breaking down the walls in the kid’s and master bedroom to let in more light that makes the space look bigger and create openness.

The main entrance wall of The Colorful Vaastu Compliant Home has a gorgeous setting of a large size white arched window with indirect lights and a floral arrangement to hold the shoe rack beautifully blending in with the peach Entrance Door, which creates a drama of sorts and sets the mood for what lies ahead.

The emerald sofa and peach chair furnishings blend beautifully with the wooden ceiling and the view of the outside with the inside. The Vaastu-specific colors peach, emeralds, mint greens, sun-kissed yellows, and hues of blue have been smartly and aesthetically balanced by using lighter tones for floors, creamy whites for walls and soft furnishings, and warm wood for ceilings.

A cozy Indian seating corner has been created to relax and enjoy when guests pour in. The balcony in the living room overlooking the beautiful city view has a mint green louvered window that acts as the perfect backdrop on white brick walls to unwind at the end of the day.

The highlight of this home is the open living dining area with fancy light fittings above that welcome the guests as soon as they step inside the home and the wooden ceiling which proudly adorns the formal seating area. The open kitchen is dressed in sun-kissed yellows and whites bringing in the much-desired freshness.

The master bedroom is heavily inspired by the whites and cool breezy blues of Greece and Santorini. The walls were further broken down to extend the bedroom and create a backdrop of black and white tiles against a blue arched window with flowers creating a perfect corner to chill and unwind on the recliner.

The son’s bedroom has a larger-than-life Astronaut painted on the wardrobe shutters with bunkbeds, study, and storage following the same concept for the boys to enjoy their playful zone.
