At the Mudra House, the apartment renovation is a combination of Indian contemporary with a twist through the use of novel materials and textures. However, we had a record time of four months to deliver this space. We proceeded with our strategic project planning, keeping a check on stringent timelines.
Our profession expects me to deliver client-centric solutions, keeping in mind clients’ psyches, yet innovative and also best suited to their budget. Not to forget the timelines, quality, and preferences. The success of the project depends upon fulfilling all these parameters in return for just one virtue from the client: trust.
The Apartment Renovation is a Combination of Indian Contemporary | Pinwheel Ventures
Our wonderful team burned the midnight oil and left no room for any ambiguity while finishing this task. Our clients honoured our decisions, suggestions, and feedback in every single detail, as a result of which we proudly handed over this masterpiece. To summarize, our belief that a successful association requires unwavering trust proved to be a fact yet again! We take pride in delivering happiness, comfort, and peace.
The living room’s expanse gathers the formal seating, a compact pooja room, and extends into the dining space.
The Mehrangadh yellow wall, however, bestows an earthy frame on the teakwood dining table embedded with a macro-textured Diana marble. It is thus focused on custom-made frames.
Additionally, the original oleographs from Raja Ravi Varma’s collection and the vintage brass lamps from the 1940s effortlessly complement the vibe.
Design is the way of life. We thus, acknowledge this and try to reflect it in our practice by every means possible. Be it a bare-shell project or a renovation, we had a simple brief in mind: the home should be sustainable, earthy, and reflect the persona of the client.
However, the apartment renovation of the Mudra house introduced us to this beautiful family of three, who entrusted us with their design.
The master bedroom has a spring palette. Moreover, crafted out of Burma teak over 90 years ago, the poster bed stands as a vintage masterpiece.
The bed linen is procured from Rajasthan, which adds a mauve hue to the room. Moreover, bright, big windows filter in the sunlight from the east and make the room look spacious.
Whereas, the artwork used in this room belongs to a local artist from Udaipur.
The studio/daughter room is where all the creativity is mulched. Hence, this place requires a relaxing yet inspiring character.
The work desk, however, expands into the blue almirah. Moreover, the bed is platform-like and flexible, with an arch on one side.
The swing is the heart of this home, as it breathes light and air into the ambience. It is rather a place for gatherings, festivities, and everyday cups of coffee.
A variety of plants characterise the seasonal changes in this space. This is our space: principal designer and founder of Pinwheel Ventures.
