Hèrmosa Design Studio is a three-storeyed modular furnishings and home concept showroom situated in the heart of Jaipur. It is revolutionizing the idea of what an interior stylistic layout space can and cannot include in a Tier-2 city.
Editor’s Note: The interiors of Hèrmosa Design Studio exude a combination of pastel and vivid tones, reflecting the royal colour palette of Jaipur architecture. Crisp gold strips frame the corners that matter without crossing the thin line of maximalism. Modern art and classic mihrabs cross time and boundaries into a singular space, a notable feature of this design. – Gopika Pramod
A Home Concept Store with a Hint of Lush pop | ARA Designs
The Hèrmosa Store presents a contemporary interpretation of Jaipur and its specialties. The ethnic and cultural side of Jaipur finds representation here.
Classics like the mehrabs, the jharokhas, and the complex Jaipuri colour palettes have been introduced stylishly into the design concept. Taking inspiration from the Pink City, the topical shade of the store is a millennial pink.
The Hèrmosa entrance façade is inspired by the most beautiful and exotic native bird – the Peacock.
The Hallways hold the essence of the ethnic royal culture with the arcs from Jaipur’s heritage sites recreated in an expressionist style.
The local thikri craftsmanship has been recreated in chevron print to modernize it while still maintaining the balance between the modern and traditional.
The design aims to create a perfect synthesis between ethnic and adapting lifestyles. The idea for a ‘modern’ furniture design studio was to match the product range that Hèrmosa has to offer. The hallway creates the feel of walking into a palace, albeit a modern one.
The kid’s space is enhanced by bright hues of yellow and playful elements that also perfectly go with the furniture pieces.
The feature wall made of chevron pattern from beaten glass is meticulously put together piece-by-piece, with the brand’s monogram engraved in copper.
The design approach used in Hermosa aims to create a perfect synthesis between ethnic and adapting lifestyles.
Clean and minimal, the façade is a unique jaali-like pattern that mimics peacock feathers in a rustic millennial pink — both being native to Jaipur. The brand colour, teal, is prominent across the rest of the building.
