  • The Penthouse With A Minimalist Yet Imposing Approach | AB ARCHITECTS

    [Sassy_Social_Share]

A home is a reflection of one’s soul. The “ApoorvaAnubhav house” in the city of lakes, Udaipur, Rajasthan, is a penthouse of 3395 sq. ft. located on the 9th floor. The interior was done by the owner of the house himself; late Ar. Anubhav Bhatnagar. This was his one of his last projects and it can be said that the house interiors reflect the soul of the late architect. He believed that “Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication.” He decorated the penthouse with a minimalist yet imposing approach.

The duplex penthouse features balconies over a panoramic view of mountains. The lower floor consists of a drawing room, dining room, and kitchen with 2 bedrooms, while the master bedroom and terrace occupy the upper floor. A beautiful wooden staircase connects two levels of houses.

The interior of the house creates impressive and luxurious spaces, with comfortable living and a welcoming environment. In this drawing room with a warm and contemporary aesthetic, the wall at the centre has been clad with brick that gives a feeling of both warmth and freshness.

The sophisticated palette of turquoise blue and grey sofa balances the design and ergonomics of the area. Also, the wide glass shutters on the balcony create a visual effect of an extension of the room that overlooks the beautiful view of sunset.

Warli Art paintings, green grass, and potted plants on the balcony make the space beautiful and cozy. The lighting is complementing the spaces, keeping the modernity while at the same time not losing its ethnic charm.

A long wooden dining table with four comfortable chairs and a bench acts as the protagonist in the dining area. It gives a beautiful setting to enjoy the space, and the massive rustic log has a different texture.

Within a limited area, these wooden staircases add glamour to the dining space, adding unique texture and warmth to the space. A simple mini book shelf adds a nice decorative touch to a minimalist interior.

The kitchen is the most important area of the house. The colour yellow symbolises fire. A blend of white and yellow represents harmony and peace. The white colour has made the kitchen seem larger and more spacious, while also making it elegant and stylish. The pull-out small modular breakfast table acts as a garnish on the kitchen space.

The bedroom on the lower floor dominates whites and beige along with earthy tones. However, the panoramic views have also contributed to the decor of the room. A brightly coloured ceiling creates contrast and, in combination with light, soothes the eyes.

Breezy blue with gold gives a tropical look to the master bedroom and adds calming effects to the eyes. The colours are bright and cheerful ones that bring in glamorous yet soothing vibes. The memorable pictures made as a backdrop for the room make it livelier.

This house is result of its owner-cum-designer’s vision. Everything is planned meticulously and is immaculate. It is gorgeous and nearly perfect. This impeccable house stuns everyone with its aesthetics.
