This narrow passage of a foyer forms the perfect and most welcoming entrance to the apartment with its delicate and smart flooring inlay pattern in black marble giving the otherwise beige flooring an interesting break. The ceiling and facing wall have been paneled with wood for the warmth needed on entry. The gorgeous marble and metal console is from Meridiani. The foyer turns and opens into a guest room and Pooja room before opening into the large living room.
The living room is a beautiful amalgamation of contemporary European furniture and Indian make of artworks, artefacts and carpets. The blue color of the Baxter sideboard and red color of the Porada dining table blending in seamlessly with the otherwise neutral palette of the Bentley sofa and grey Minotti single seaters in the living room.
This space is divided into two seating corners as it is used to entertain guests as well as for the family to spend time together.
The other corner of the living room is given a more easy, free and glam vibe by introducing soft curves and circular shapes to the otherwise straight lines. The blue of the Baxter sideboard, the brass filled inside the hand created cracks of the Boca do lobo coffee table, the suede and leather upholstered Fendi chair, and the neat pleating and detailed leg representing a thorny bush of the Koket sofa along with the antiques and artefacts placed around most definitely make it an interesting and eclectic corner.
The dining room which is an adjacent extension to the living room houses a gorgeous round Porada red top dining table in the middle of wooden paneled and grey toned walls. The Moooi chandelier doing some pattern play forming a reflection of concentric circles on the ceiling and this beautiful hand painted Rugiano sideboard adding texture. The wall being adorned by bespoke installations of metal and fiber by our fabricators.
The warm and cozy master bedroom has the walls behind this Arkitepo bed panelled with veneer placed in different directions to add an interesting pattern running across. The wooden finish adds warmth and coziness to this bedroom which has a full sized window allowing for the room to be bathed in a good amount of natural light with a modern Fendi chair at a corner for that early morning newspaper time. The sliding shutters to the walk in area are paneled with mirror to give the bedroom an illusion of space and expanse.
The guest room has been kept smart and chic with a wooden frame Shake bed and leather backing. Wall mounted two armed light, study table in a corner extension, mirror finished wardrobe, bedding from address home and accessories from Souk complete the look of this room.
A bespoke blue custom made bed placed against an ivory paneled wall marks the beauty of this room, while the rest of the walls are clad with acrylic panels to give it a seamless, camouflaged and well finished look. The tropical printed chair from Desiree adds a fresh look, and along with the printed cushions from Address home gives a break to the otherwise solid color scheme.
The brief for this room was to have a pink palette. Keeping that in mind we tried to incorporate that in different ways from a color blocked Fendi bed to an ombré finish wallpaper starting from a darker pink to a lighter pink gradient. Finished the dressing corner of this room with a pink base printed wallpaper from Cole & Son. Adorning the room and breaking the monotony of the pink are the gorgeous book shelf from De castelli and the the corner butterfly chandelier from Ingo Maurer.
The dining opens into a modern and well finished kitchen from Poggenpohl. The door connecting the two has a round glass cut out to allow light to come in and to add some character to the otherwise solid door.
