A raw, brutalist envelope meets futuristic design expression—spread over two split levels and laced with saturated, unapologetic color. A retail experiment that pushes the boundary between structure and storytelling.
A Raw, Brutalist Envelope Meets Futuristic Design Expression In This Retail Design | VMeet Studio
The project draws its essence from the idea of time and cultural layering. The lower floor is conceived as a “cave”, representing roots, ancestry, and the raw beginnings of a store. It is an ode to primitive spaces, evoking the essence of shelter and origin.
In contrast, the upper level is designed as a “pink box” — a bold, futuristic gesture that resembles an oversized brand packaging box, scaled up to become an architectural statement.
This duality symbolizes the journey from past to future, anchored by the presence of Greek-inspired columns that bridge cultural heritage with a contemporary vision. The style is a hybrid: raw and earthy below, vibrant and minimal-futuristic above.
The primary inspiration was rethinking the Flintstones’ world — but imagined in a contemporary pink, black, and white monochrome palette. The project is playful yet architectural, drawing from the rawness of caves and the structural purity of Greek culture, all reframed through the lens of modern branding and retail design.
