Skye Luxuria-Luxurious Apartment Interiors | Sonam Interior and Associates
When the client approached us with this project, he was very clear with his only demand, for the apartment to scream ‘luxury’. It is a boon having a client who trusts you enough to give you a free hand and lets you have complete creative control. The 5000 sqft apartment is situated at one of the most prime properties of the city. Facing west, the 25 feet long, centrally located balcony has the most spectacular view of the sunset.
The apartment is on the 10th floor so natural light plays a very important role. As you enter the floor, you are welcomed by a rough concrete textured wall set in contrast with the glossy finished wooden main door. The comely Erica palm cuts through the textures and adds a refreshing element.
The foyer has a wooden carved console with intricately detailed legs with 3 dainty hand-painted jails hanging above it. We went with a rather heavy wooden ceiling with a glossy finish veneer that has filament bulbs as the primary light source.
Walking in from the foyer, you reach the main area that includes the drawing area, dining area and living area with prepossessing full height French windows that open up to the balcony on one side and the entrance to kitchen and home theatre on the other. The main challenge in this area was that there was just one wall to work with. Instead of creating partitions to segregate these areas, we skilfully placed and used furniture to do so.
The sofa set of the drawing area catches the eye with it rose gold plated metallic back, effortlessly chic and luxurious. Topped with, again a rose gold plated metallic chandelier. The style of the furniture in this area automatically gives it a formal and classy vibe to maintain its function as a formal sitting. As there are no partitions between the drawing and the dining area, the captivating metallic back of the sofa is visible from all the sides.
The dining area is composed of a massive white onyx top dining table resting on a byzantine wooden base paired with sleek wooden chairs. The second element of this area is the aesthetic hand-painted crockery unit which also fulfils the purpose of separating the living area from the dining area.
The living area is where families spend most of their time so it has to be comfortable and energetic. The neutral palette acts as the perfect backdrop for this modern rust coloured couch. The couch has an extendable backrest that gives recliner like comfort. With a bay window seating on one side of the living area, it becomes the perfect corner to enjoy the view white sitting comfortably in the living room.
The balcony has a bar directly facing the view that allows you to take in the sublime view while you can unwind with a drink. The sand stone clad walls, the mini pole lights add a rustic charm.
Kitchen is neat, chic and extremely functional that has all top notch modern day equipment to fulfil all your needs. With a breakfast top at the entrance, it is an open kitchen with a built-in hob and an island chimney. The focus wall is clad with rust and white printed tiles in coordination with the living room couch.
The lobby divides the rest of the apartment into four rooms. The vintage pattern in the ceiling is set in tone with rest of the apartment with its neutral colours. The rustic console with the ravishing painting, make up the central wall. A hanging top acts as a multi utility table.
First is the master bedroom. Set in a pastel green and beige palette, the room maintains simplicity, warmth yet looks luxurious. With a quaint little study corner beside the balcony, it forms the perfect corner to dive into reading. Introducing metallics through brass rods and other accents gives this space a dramatic edge.
The parent’s bedroom has full height headrest and a cushioned bed with carved wooden legs. The European mouldings finished with silver leafing are in co-ordination with the modern-classic theme of the room.
The kids are two teenage boys and it is important for the room to reflect it. The rustic grey texture on the walls gives it a raw, young and fresh look. The blue velvet bed head cuts through the texture adding a refreshing colour to the room. The room has two foldable study tables and separate study corner.
Guest room focuses on the nude palette with wood. The room is cozy, simple and has the right ambience. A carved wooden headrest stands out in front of subtle wallpaper and remains in tune with the rest of the apartment.
