The interior of INDRADHANUSH in Mumbai is a refuge, which reveals a poetic tranquillity one can find in olor. The house’s vocabulary owes little towards modern and contemporary elements co-existence, fairly highlighted by the colours.
One of the essential roles of interior design is to provide built environments that sustain the occupants’ psychological well-being. This role is made even more important because, in modern society, more than seventy per cent of a person’s lifespan is spent indoors. Interior design represents a considerably important factor that affects the users of the space, both in functional aesthetic and psychological terms.
This Home Interior in Mumbai Reveals a Poetic Tranquility One Can Find in Color | Rebel Designs
Interior design is a complex process that includes numerous steps from the concept development to the design realization. Numerous factors affect the interior design of a space. One of the basic quality factors of a realised interior design is colour.
Meandering through the home, the living space comes alive, whose smooth planes are consistently and unapologetically swathed with bright royal blue-coloured louvred doors.
And yet, despite its bold and contrasting colour, this colour in no way translates to mindless noise; however, the powder blue tone of the crockery unit does not shy away from attention. The dining table legs are brought to life through an enthralling composition of geometric motifs.
The vibrantly layered headboard against the royal blue door and study space of the kid’s bedroom descends into a pool of playful space, which is the culmination of a fearless and brilliant imagination.
In one of the master bedrooms, the arched display unit greets visitors. However, here it has a blush pink colour headboard border along with the dressing unit, which bathes the nave-like corridor in a warm and enthralling composition. The yellow colour study table labyrinth, along with the royal blue wardrobe cum display, is full of visual surprises and perspectives. They offer an extremely interesting experience to the canvas of yet another master bedroom space.
It is this understanding of colour, texture, and light that simultaneously inspires an almost mystic wonder. However, it also resonates on a human scale.
