This Cafe in Delhi Shows its Definite Love for Arches | Space Tag Architects
Our client, a true food enthusiast, envisioned a cafe that would be more than just a place to dine; it would be an experience in itself. With this vision in mind, we set out to create an environment that would not only entice the taste buds but also ignite the senses and foster an ambiance that patrons would cherish. The objective was clear: to transform the act of dining into a multisensory journey.
The foundation of our design was rooted in an open-plan seating arrangement, fostering a sense of community and togetherness. However, the genius of the design lies in the creation of virtual zones within the cafe.
These zones were thoughtfully crafted to cater to the diverse demographics of our clientele, accommodating varying age groups and preferences. As a result, the cafe boasts private, semi private, and semi-public seating areas, each uniquely designed to meet the distinct needs of its occupants.
To demarcate these virtual zones, a masterful interplay of different materials, textures, and flooring levels was employed. This strategic design feature allows patrons to find their perfect niche within the cafe, tailored to their individual tastes and desires.
But it doesn’t stop there. A vital aspect of our design was the consideration of varying moods throughout the day. This led us to meticulously plan the lighting design, ensuring that the atmosphere seamlessly transitions from an energizing morning hotspot to an intimate, cozy evening haven.
At the core of our concept was the aim to create an atmosphere and ambiance that transported patrons to the outdoors, even as they dined indoors. The guests find themselves surrounded by greenery, natural wood, delectable food, and lively conversations.
The design incorporates an exposed ceiling, complemented by wooden battens arranged in captivating patterns and suspended greenery, all working in unison to create a sense of openness and connection to nature.
Natural materials, such as exposed brickwork, wood, metal, and lime-based textured paint, were thoughtfully chosen to infuse the space with an earthy and authentic character. The resulting environment evokes a warm and inviting atmosphere that appeals to all the senses.
