Warm Colour of Ginger Adorns this Head Office | Aakar Architects
The ginger-themed agriculture office is a delightful blend of aesthetics and functionality. Since the client is one of the leading ginger suppliers in the entire state, the vibrant space pays homage to the rich history and legacy of the APMC market in Ahmedabad.
The flooring is draped in Kota stone, adding an earthy touch to the office space and complimenting the ginger theme. Adding a touch of nostalgia, the walls are adorned with black and white photographs depicting the old APMC market.
These images not only showcase the rich history and heritage of the market but also serve as constant reminders of the client’s vision and commitment to agricultural excellence.
The textured glass partitions serve not only as functional separators but also as decorative elements. They allow for a seamless flow of natural light, creating a harmonious and well-lit environment. These partitions define different areas within the office, including a staff area, lounge, main office, and a lounge within the main office.
This thoughtful division of spaces ensures productivity, privacy, and comfort for the agricultural team. The centerpiece of the room are the two exquisite office tables, meticulously crafted with intricate details. In conclusion, the ginger-themed agriculture office stands as an embodiment of thoughtful design.
The main highlight or so called the hero element of the entire office space is the customized canvas sheet wallpaper at the back wall of MD table area which shows an abstract representation of vegetable market street space which gives a tribute to all the people and suppliers linked in the field of agriculture produce and its distribution and mainly to the hard working labor force who work day and night to make India an agricultural country, it’s a special way of saying thank you and showing gratitude to the agriculture produce committee.
The staff table had a simple and practical approach with a smart trapezoidal planter with wooden jali detail. The true workmanship and detailing were shown in designing and making of wooden sofa and lounge chair design.
Designed with proper antro and comfort the furniture was made on site with pocket pouch method i.e the tongue and groove method with no nails method which is the traditional and best wooden furniture making technique.
The pooja room space is created in a seamless pattern in the north east corner utilizing the column space and hiding the chunk with seamless fluted pattern and providing a doorway with small openings to create ventilation. The corner space is treated as a planting corner by turning the partition in wood.
To sum up the agro office is designed with a rather process based approach as it was some design studio problem. It amalgamates the tradition, design, the roots of the space, the core ginger theme which the client is rooted with and also a tribute to APMC market and the agricultural committee.
