Meranti design philosophy was to create a soothing minimalism space for the client, hence we incorporated calmer tones to make the space look brighter and larger in scale. The colours and details of the space are intricately focused to bring tranquillity and subtility, a contemporary office with an overlay of classic accents.

In terms of design challenges, the ceiling was an intriguing part, with higher beam depths, and fire lines running right in the centre of the ceiling. Bhavnagar as a city is less equipped with material sources and décor, which was more challenging and cost-heavy for the project
This project defines the space by its subtility, tranquillity and minimalism. The other significant detail is its panelled seamless furniture and simplicity. The furniture in this project has my heart, because of its manoeuvring detail in each space, every piece was Benchmade and custom-designed as per the clients’ needs, to create a soothing oasis.
We incorporated calmer tones to make the space look brighter and larger in scale. Its decor is in line with the rest of the place, which has a minimalist feel with a strictly white and brown palette, and a strategically placed accent of colours throughout.
It’s the uncomplicated material palette of oakwood and veneer that distinguishes the space and imbues it with a gentle warmth.
The entire office comprises of bespoke furniture, with intricately carved details to bring harmony, and add a sense of lightness, poise and comfort. All tables designed with oakwood, veneer and laminate are made to look sleek and composite. The director’s table is welcomed by an Italian marble top with the legs and frame finely carved out of birchwood. The ceiling is another striking element of the space, veneer carved in geometrical form
