This Mid Century Modern House in Vadodara Is A Minimalist Space | JNM Space Creators LLP
In the foyer area, we’ve taken a humble approach by concealing the door to the powder toilet. As a simple yet practical addition, we’ve included a sitting bench for shoes to ensure our clients can comfortably sit while putting on or removing their footwear.
This sturdy and comfortable bench not only serves its purpose but also blends effortlessly with the overall theme of the space. Our intention for this mid-century modern house was to create a seamless transition from the foyer into the rest of the area. Thus, it allows for a welcoming and functional entry experience for our clients and their guests.
With sincere dedication, we curated a living room space where simplicity is celebrated through intricate details. Our intention was to avoid a design that feels overwhelming or lacks definition, striving instead for a balance between elegance and functionality.
Through thoughtful choices in lighting, a wooden center table, and the fabric selection for the sofa, we aimed to cultivate a warm and inviting atmosphere in the living area. We directed our humble efforts towards creating a space that exudes comfort and charm while maintaining a sense of coherence.
With utmost humility, we crafted the TV unit to seamlessly blend with the colour of the ceiling, ensuring a harmonious integration within the space. Through thoughtful panelling and subtle wooden accents, we aimed to enhance both the aesthetics and functionality of the area.
Despite facing the challenge of an RCC wall, which limited our ability to adjust switchboards as per the client’s preferences, we persevered to create a solution that met their needs to the best of our abilities.
Our humble efforts for this mid-century modern house were dedicated to achieving a cohesive and pleasing design that brings comfort and satisfaction to our client.
In designing the Dining area with kitchen interiors, we humbly recognize that there’s more than meets the eye. Prior to adding decorative elements, we carefully considered the flow of the space, the placement of fixtures, and the functionality of work surfaces. However, our goal was to ensure that the space caters to the specific lifestyle needs of our clients and their families.
With this in mind, we proudly offer our customised solid, seasoned teak wood curved dining table and chairs. This investment represents a commitment to both durability and timeless style, ensuring that these pieces stand the test of time.
Crafted with comfort and elegance in mind, our wooden furniture seamlessly connects with the earthly design of the dining area, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for gatherings and meals.
In our humble effort to enhance the recreational area, we transformed it into a versatile space serving as both a bar and a family room—a place of joy and relaxation.
Embrace the inviting warmth and timeless elegance of our wooden bar counter, carefully crafted to harmonize natural beauty with practical functionality.
Serving as the heart of your entertainment space, this meticulously designed centerpiece exudes subtle charm and understated sophistication.
To maximise the space’s functionality and enhance its visual appeal, we humbly introduced a distinctive bookshelf alongside a cosy reading corner in the passage area. Our modest intention was to make the area both practical and aesthetically pleasing. The carefully chosen design of the wooden custom bookshelf adds a touch of uniqueness, while the addition of a dedicated reading nook offers a peaceful retreat for relaxation. We design these humble enhancements to contribute positively to the overall atmosphere of the space, providing both utility and charm for our clients.
In crafting the design for the master bedroom, we incorporated a contemporary canopy bed style that complements the overall theme seamlessly.
Every detail, from the furniture to the bed sheets and even the side tables, was meticulously customized to ensure a cohesive aesthetic that flows throughout the living space.
This master bedroom has a lot of space to play with, and the clients don’t want any storage in this particular master room. So we have played with natural teak and wooden straight lines and given a touch of tradition with curved edges for a comfort-friendly design.
The furniture’s wooden finish and the color palette of this room need to be connected to each other for an overall eye-smoothing look. We incorporated a touch of green with the plants for a touch of freshness and to bring the outdoors in.
The lighting was kept neutral to create a relaxing and calming atmosphere. We also added a few modern accessories to give the room a more modern feel.
Given the limited space in our guest bedroom area, we opted for a wardrobe with a full-length mirror to create an illusion of spaciousness. Additionally, we selected a bed without storage as per the client’s preference, as they didn’t express a need for extra storage.
The choice of a laminated head panel was made for its practicality and ease of maintenance, ensuring a hassle-free upkeep of the room’s aesthetics.
For the children’s bedroom, we took inspiration from the client’s son, who is in his early twenties and centred the theme around his age and preferences. We aimed to design a space where he could cherish and store his memories comfortably.
We sought to strike a balance between avoiding an overly extravagant appearance and steering clear of a typical children’s bedroom look. To achieve this, we opted for minimalistic colours to create a calming atmosphere that fosters positivity and relaxation in the room.
