This Four Bedroom House is a Personalized Minimalistic Haven | Antariksh Design Studio

In the bustling city of Surat, Gujarat, ‘Neev’- a four bedroom house design showcases a harmonious fusion of custom-made and personalized design details. Aptly named, the residential apartment is meticulously crafted to align with the habits as well as preferences of its inhabitants, ensuring a seamless transition into their new abode. This project was not just about building a home. It orchestrates a symphony of design elements that resonate with the clients’ lifestyles. The initial plan for this four bedroom house design included a generous five-foot-wide passage, which, rather than remaining a simple passage, was transformed into a multifunctional partition cum storage unit. This innovative approach not only optimised the space but also added a touch of practicality to the design.

Editor’s Note: “Inspired by the lunar cycle, this Surat abode seamlessly merges exquisite design with artistry. The classic use of marble and brass imbues the space with an elegant ambience. Throughout the home, an artistic blend of constellation and star motifs enhances its beauty, creating a captivating atmosphere.” ~Simran Khare

As soon as one steps in, a bold fade-out red, free-standing partition spanning six feet greets you, establishing a captivating foyer entrance. Symbolising the heart of the space, this design choice sets the tone for what lies within. The thematic inspiration for the entire apartment revolves around the moon and stars, and this motif is seamlessly woven into every corner.

Lunar Cycle

An awe-inspiring moon artwork invites one into the cozy living area, where the ‘Moon’ is set in motion by an LED to represent the lunar cycle through an automation technique.

Moving through the house, the Puja room unveils a masterpiece- a traditional detailed artwork narrating the journey of the deities worshipped by the inhabitants.

Master Bedroom: The North star concept in the master bedroom, takes centre stage in illustrating the clients’ bonds with their relatives through stars and constellations.

Calm and Composed Aura

This design decision mirrors their calm composed nature while emphasizing their intimate connections with their friends and family.

Children Bedroom: Reflecting a personalized touch is the Son’s bedroom, that caters to his passion for cars.

An art installation featuring cars adorns the bed-back panel. It is strategically placed in front of his dressing mirror. This is also to inspire him daily as he gets ready for the day.

The incorporation of elements aligned with the inhabitant’s psychology showcases the thoughtfulness in the entire design process.

Guest Bedroom: The guest bedroom takes on a simplistic yet sophisticated approach. It is also reminiscent of a hotel room with open trolleys and drawers that provide practical storage solutions. Meanwhile, a designated bag storage area adds a touch of hospitality to the space.

Contemporary Twist to the Traditional

Parent’s Bedroom: Furthermore, as one enters the parents’ bedroom, they’ll find a reimagined traditional ‘Chaarpai’ bed infused with a contemporary twist.

The room seamlessly blends traditional touches, such as hints of brass, with a modern approach. Thus, offering a comfortable retreat for the homeowners.

‘Neev’ translates the clients’ lifestyle, including their preferences, into a tangible, aesthetically pleasing reality. Every nook and cranny of this minimalistic apartment tells a story, weaving together elements of tradition, modernity, and personal passion. It is indeed a crafted haven that encapsulates the essence of its inhabitants.
