  • This Cafe is Designed with Organic Architecture Principles, Incorporating Elements of Feminist Design | Grahaam Studio

The concept of kindness begins within and is derived from the journey of transitioning from a past of unhealthy living to a present of a healthy and nutritious lifestyle. This cafe is designed with organic architecture principles, incorporating elements of feminist design. It features an earthy and rugged aesthetic, contrasted by a modern strip. The unique concept of the space is centered around two rocks, with a long rectangular area sculpted between them to create a modern eatery space.

The walls within this space swell unevenly, adorned that bursts of foliage, and nothing in the cafe has straight edges, contributing to a warm and inviting atmosphere.

From the flooring to the ceiling, everything follows organic contours, including the skirting, which rises in blocks on the wall and then seamlessly flows into the flooring. This 850 Sq.ft space is designed to accommodate 35 seats, a pantry area, and a bathroom.

The project goes beyond merely designing four walls; it aims to create a new structure that serves as a sculptural landmark for healthy eating. The identity of this space is defined by its unique architectural form, which represents the fusion of art and nourishment.

The mood board for this project is inspired by the colors and elements that evoke kindness. Kindness itself has historical roots, such as the concept of the Last Supper, where food has always played a role in fostering kindness.

The space aims to bring this essence of kindness to its visitors through an organic and contemporary look, with the intention of capturing their hearts and minds.

The serving of food within this space becomes an act of kindness in itself, emphasizing the importance of nourishment and the positive impact it can have on individuals.

The design, atmosphere, and culinary offerings work together to create an environment where visitors can experience not only delicious and nutritious food but also the warmth and generosity that comes with acts of kindness.
