Inspired by the profound Indian concept of पीढ़ी (Peedhi), which celebrates the interconnectedness of ancestors, current, and future generations, we designed this residence for a three-generation family in a modern traditional style that thoughtfully blends timeless traditional elements – including moulding frame panels, rich walnut brown finishes, and ornate lamps – with contemporary flourishes, such as fluted panels, earthy tones, and vibrant pops of color in fabrics and wallpapers.
The Concept of Peedhi Is Beautifully Expressed in a Modern Traditional Style | The Blue Paw Studio
The Living room is thoughtfully designed, where simplicity meets elegance. Clean-lined, minimalistic fluted panels and moulding frames, creating subtle borders , add depth and visual interest to the space.
This understated yet sophisticated design element allows the room’s Sage vibe to shine, while providing a sleek backdrop for the TV and sofa back wall. The dining is an extension of the Living Room space. The theme, tone, and design elements align seamlessly with the other wall elements in the room.
Our primary goal was to create a serene and peaceful atmosphere, flooding the space with natural light and air. The result is a harmonious balance of heritage and modernity, perfect for a family spanning three generations to come together, share moments, and create lasting memories.
Inspired by the radiant meaning of ‘Aryadit’ – The Sun, we crafted a vibrant and playful room for the youngest member of the family. Every element, from finishes to textures and fabrics, evokes the warmth and energy of the sun through thoughtful selection.
The room’s focal point is the striking orange fluted panel, complemented by an educational canvas-finish world map wallpaper. A sturdy tan-colored suede sofa cum bed invites relaxation, while the off-creme fluted panelled wardrobe design with chrome yellow handles adds a pop of brightness.
Whimsical touches, such as arches and circular shapes in the furniture and panelling, inject a sense of fun into the functional spaces. This sunny sanctuary is the perfect haven for Aryadit to grow, learn, and shine.”
Inspired by the design brief to evoke the essence of a beach, we crafted a serene and inviting space. Neutral sand-colored fluted and plain panels adorn the wardrobe shutters, while matching plain laminates are used for the TV cabinet and side tables. A pop of fluted green laminate on the drawers adds a touch of whimsy.
The walls feature sand-colored plain and fluted panels, complemented by a semi-circular mirror dresser. Teal accents on the headboard and TV wall’s fluted panel create attractive focal points, subtly evoking the ocean’s calming presence. The result is a tranquil retreat that masterfully balances the soothing elements of sea and sand.
Embracing the client’s desire for simplicity and elegance, we crafted a warm and inviting space that feels like a cozy cabin retreat. Wood, the client’s favorite element, takes center stage in a harmonious blend of wooden laminate and fluted wooden panels. The fluted TV unit adds visual interest, breaking the monotony and creating a striking focal point.
The wooden flute motif is subtly replicated on the headboard’s sides, adjacent to the side tables, while a strategically placed mirror near the dresser adds a touch of sophistication. Brush gold hardware elevates the wooden units, infusing the space with understated luxury.
The result is a serene, cabin-inspired ambiance that exudes warmth and comfort, making the clients feel truly at home
