    What is the story of your passion for design? 

    Ar. Pankti Shah and Id Shalvi Shah founded Amogh Designs an innovative architectural and interior design firm situated in Ahmedabad. Both seasoned professionals with over nine years of collective experience in the industry. Specializing in top tier projects encompassing residential architecture, interior design, commercial spaces, retail, and hospitality. We prioritize collaboration and excellence in our work. Our hallmark is the infusion of distinctive, unconventional designs tailored to exceed our clients’ expectations. Our accomplishment is gauged by the acclaim and appreciation earned by our projects. Committed to growth and adaptation, we continuously integrate fresh concepts and embrace change to elevate our services for our clients.

    What pushed you to commence your own interior design studio?

    As sisters, the decision to co-found our own interior design studio, Amogh Designs, was deeply rooted in our shared passion for creativity and design. Growing up, we always shared a love for aesthetics and transforming spaces. Whether it was redecorating our childhood rooms or helping friends and family with their home projects. After gaining individual experience and expertise in the field, we realized that by combining our talents and complementary skills. We could create something truly special.

    Together, we envisioned a studio. A studio where we could blend our unique perspectives and strengths to offer clients a holistic and personalized approach to interior design. Starting our own firm, Amogh Designs, allowed us to not only pursue our shared passion but also to build a business. Business based on our values of creativity, collaboration, and client-centricity. We were driven by the desire to create beautiful and functional spaces. Spaces that enhance the lives of our clients while fostering meaningful relationships along the way.

    As sisters and co-partners, the decision to embark on this journey together was not only about building a successful business like Amogh Designs but also about creating a legacy. One which reflects our shared vision, values, and commitment to excellence in design.

    Could you write in short about the philosophy you go with when designing a certain project?

    We at Amogh Designs believe in team work by offering our best services with at most quality & quirky, unique designs in each project we execute as per client’s satisfaction. For us the achievement is in appreciation and recognition we get for our projects. At Amogh Designs, we constantly strive to change with time and incorporate new ideas for enriching our services for client.

    What is the inspiration behind your concept developments and design ideations?

    Our concept developments and design ideations are often inspired by a diverse range of sources. Reflecting our commitment to creating unique and meaningful spaces for our clients. We draw inspiration from various aspects of life. This includes nature, art, architecture, culture, and even our clients’ personal stories and preferences.

    Nature serves as a constant source of inspiration, with its colors, textures, and patterns often informing our design palettes and material selections. We are also inspired by the principles of sustainability and biophilic design. Seeking to integrate natural elements into our projects to promote well-being and connection to the environment.

Our process involves a deep understanding of our clients’ needs and preferences.     A Sneak Peek Into The Projects By Amogh Designs

    Could you share the story of a project which has truly challenged you go beyond your conventional style of design?

    Absolutely! One project that truly pushed us beyond our conventional style of design was a residential renovation project. It presented with a twist of adventure due to a limited budget. The client’s dream project aspirations, and tight time constraints. It was like embarking on an exhilarating journey where every twist and turn demanded creativity, collaboration, and resourcefulness. The client came to us with big dreams for their home transformation but with a budget that posed a significant challenge. However, their enthusiasm and vision were contagious. Thus, sparking a fire within our team to turn their dreams into reality within the constraints we faced.

    With time ticking away, we knew we had to act fast and think smart. We rallied our team of designers, collaborating closely with the client to understand their vision and priorities. Together, we brainstormed innovative solutions and creative alternatives to achieve their desired aesthetic while staying within budget. Communication and coordination became our mantra as we navigated the project timeline with precision. Every member of the team, from designers to vendors, played a crucial role in the process. We leveraged our network of suppliers and craftsmen. Thereby negotiating deals and sourcing materials that offered the best value without compromising on quality.

There were moments of uncertainty and doubt, but through open communication and unwavering determination, we pressed on, fueled by the shared passion for bringing our client’s vision to life. One that not only reflected the client’s personal style but also showcased our ability to think outside the box and deliver exceptional design on a budget and within a tight timeframe. It was a project filled with adrenaline, creativity, and collaboration. It is a true testament to what can be achieved when everyone works together towards a common goal.

    With the technological advancements, which is the one tool you feel is a blessing to deal with design challenges?

    Technological advancements have significantly transformed the landscape of interior design. Thereby offering innovative tools that revolutionize the way designers approach their craft. Among these tools, 3D printing stands out as a game-changer, particularly in the realm of customization. This technology enables designers to personalize furniture and decorative objects, providing clients with exclusive options tailored to their preferences. The ability to create bespoke pieces enhances flexibility in design, empowering designers to offer more creative and specific solutions for each project.

    In addition to 3D printing, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) have emerged as indispensable tools in the interior design industry. By harnessing the power of 3D printing, AR, and VR, interior designers can elevate the design experience. Thus, offering clients personalized solutions that meet their unique needs and preferences. These technologies not only enhance communication and collaboration but also empower clients to make informed decisions about their spaces.     What role do you think a well designed interior space has on the users mood and workability and how do you achieve it in your designs?

    A well-designed interior space has a significant impact on users’ mood and workability. We achieve this in our designs by focusing on efficient space planning, and maximizing natural light. Moreover carefully selecting colour palettes, incorporating comfortable materials, and integrating biophilic elements. By prioritizing users’ needs and preferences, We create environments that promote productivity, creativity, and overall well-being.

    Considering the wide range of materials available today, how do you choose the right material palette which aligns with your design language and the client aspirations?

    Selecting the ideal material palette involves a thorough understanding of both the client’s aspirations and the project’s functional requirements. By listening to the client’s vision and gathering inspiration, we tailor the material selection to align with their desired aesthetic and style preferences. Additionally, we consider the functional needs of each space, choosing materials that offer durability, ease of maintenance, and suitability for specific areas within the project.

    It’s essential to harmonize the material palette with the architectural context. Thereby complementing existing features while adding depth and character to the space. Moreover, we prioritize sustainability by opting for eco-friendly and responsibly sourced materials. Thereby reflecting both our values as a designer and the growing importance of environmental considerations in modern design.     Apart from designing, which are other hobbies that inspire you to keep going?

    Aside from our passion for interior design, we find inspiration and rejuvenation through a variety of hobbies that enrich our life and fuel our creativity. Traveling is one of our greatest sources of inspiration. As we love exploring uncharted territories and immersing our self in different cultures and landscapes. The experiences and encounters we have while traveling often find their way into our designs. Thereby infusing them with a sense of authenticity and global perspective.

    Additionally, we enjoy painting as a form of self-expression and relaxation, allowing us to unleash our creativity and explore new artistic techniques. Attending workshops and exhibitions is another hobby that we find invaluable, as it keeps us abreast of the latest trends and innovations in the design industry, ensuring that our designs remain fresh, relevant, and ahead of the curve. These hobbies not only inspire us to keep pushing the boundaries of our creativity but also provide us with a well-rounded perspective that enhances our approach to interior design.

    Which aspect of interior designing brings you the sense of fulfilment?

    As an interior designer, the aspect that brings us the greatest sense of fulfillment is the opportunity to transform spaces in a way that positively impacts the lives of our clients. Whether it’s creating a functional and beautiful home where a family can thrive, designing an inspiring workspace that enhances productivity and creativity, or revitalizing a community space that brings people together, the ability to improve the quality of life through thoughtful design is incredibly rewarding. Seeing the joy and satisfaction on our clients’ faces when they experience their newly designed space is what motivates us to continue pursuing our passion for interior design.
