“Aashiyana”- meaning “Home”, the foyer area design of this 3 BHK apartment has veneer finished main door beautifully fitted in exposed brick walls. When we peep in, a simple partition screen greets the visitor housing a Ganeshji illustration in glass.
Foyer Area Design Of This 3 BHK Apartment Has Veneer Finished Main Door | HV ASSOCIATES
The use of exposed brick throughout the house from Foyer to the Master Bedroom and the veneer panelling on the living room wall, give us a warm, earthy feel. While sitting on the light-coloured fabric sofa in the living room, one can overlook the cozy swing in the balcony.
The moving partition between the kitchen and the living area, provides flexibility to open up the space for bigger gatherings.
The kitchen is minimal and functional. The adjoining area adorns with an exposed brickwork wall housing a comfortable seating as the clients did not want a designated dining space.
Since, the clients were very keen on having a unique design for their Mandir that merges well with the overall design of the house, the same theme of the browns, the whites and the bricks was taken in the Pooja area, as well.
Functionally, folding doors were provided to make it more spacious. Allowing the designers to freely design this area, resulted in a soothing Pooja room that makes it the clients’ most favourite area of the house.
The brief for Master Bedroom was to keep it dark. This was achieved by the use exposed brickwork and wooden finish Laminates. Though dark, the design has been kept classy and elegant.
The bedrooms have been designed keeping in mind the user and their personalities. The main aim while designing the bedrooms was to maximize functionality while giving a spacious look.
The kids’ bedroom has been kept a little playful and bright as the client’s daughters wanted to use pastel pink theme in their bedroom.
The Parents’ bedroom design has been kept minimal with the use of floral wallpaper and cream coloured PU finished furniture. It gives a simple look with an eye-catching wallpaper.
All the areas of the apartment have a different character but the clever use of exposed brickwork and details bind it all together, creating an overall ambience of simplicity with vibrance. The delight with which the clients show off their house, confirms their satisfaction with all the overall design.
