At Studio Suba, we relish the chance to partner with homeowners who have a vision and an open mind. Partnering with a multigenerational family, including a young couple, their child, and the grandparents, the design team Madhuja and Sagar (Studio Suba) masterfully crafted an earthy interior design that creates a warm, inviting sanctuary where each corner speaks of thoughtful design and functionality.

The living and dining areas are an exercise in seamless sophistication. Spanning 1,550 square feet, the spaces are divided by a subtle level change, enhancing fluidity while maintaining distinct zones. The black-polished teakwood dining table stands as a bold centerpiece, complemented by sleek, oxidized copper pendant lights that lend a refined edge to the space. Natural light pours through east-facing windows, illuminating the terracotta tones that continue through the ceiling.
The ceiling in the living area continues the terracotta theme, creating a cohesive, warm ambiance. Natural light floods the space through east-facing windows, amplifying the rustic charm of the terracotta tones.

One of the project’s key challenges was to incorporate extensive storage solutions that cater to the family’s diverse needs. We designed specialized storage units for linens, shoes, toys, ties, purses, stoles, bangles, and dupattas. Each unit is seamlessly integrated into the overall design, ensuring a harmonious look throughout the apartment. These solutions not only meet practical needs but also enhance the home’s aesthetic appeal.
If the essence of this house had to be captured in a single word, it would be “homely.” Every space is meticulously crafted to be both functional and inviting, avoiding any design elements that might become eyesores.
