Dark Symposium – Residence at Nashik | PDP Architects

PDP Architects has uniquely designed, A 2485 sq.ft. Apartment space located in Nasik demanded layout spacious enough for a joint family. The best part of the apartment was the advantage of light & ventilation throughout the internal spaces. Unlike most times when challenges guide the design, it was the enthusiasm of the Client that guided the design till the end.

A classic synthesis of Modern thinking & Contemporary interiors, this house has its unique Identity in its own. The very main entrance attracts you from the Society common lobby itself with Veneer Panel & Door design and a remarkable textured handmade white tile niche; cove lit enhancing the brass artifact.

The House welcomes you with this grand black stone cladding wall, with niches holding these human figure artifacts denoting upward Progression. Living, Dining Black Flooring & Wall reflects Elegance & Class, boldly. The material palette used is predominantly Black, Brass Accessories & artifacts, juxtaposed against teak veneer and Seating upholstered with Teal Blue & Solid Yellow Sofa.

The view straight from the Living room extends into a Black & White Lobby, which seemingly feels like the end of the house, but has handleless doors/apertures taking you to the 4 Bedrooms. The lobby has its own style of lighting arrangements in Ceiling creating a dramatic effect on the walkthrough by reflection on the Floor. The house has been designed using specific Colors in the different rooms associating different qualities befitting the mood & the use of the particular space.

Elder son’s bedroom delicately merging with the theme has a cement grey color used for Walls & yellow pop contrasting furniture, creating a visual affair. It has an attached balcony continuing to exist in the Dining Area offering a panoramic view of the open fields & City line, ensuring maximum light & ventilation. The balcony looks more live after the Sunset, because of the Warm lights focusing the Green Wall & under the Parapet & glass railing.

Younger son’s bedroom with Whitestone bed back wall creates a grand illusion to the tiny space & its Balcony sharing the View same as Living room Window overlooking the Society Garden & the Club House, offering Verdant views.

Guest bedroom is flexibly designed for facilitating both the purposes as for Parents and otherwise as Guest Room having a full fledge Wardrobe unit. Purple pepped upholstery adds grace to complement with the wooden flooring.

Parents Room resembling modernity combined with Traditional bed and artifacts seems like remix version of Interior fashion. Brown Stone bed back wall & Floor with brass inlaid design blends within, giving a monochromatic scheme.

Every Bathroom has its own identity complementing with respective bedrooms. Every washbasin uniquely designed by the Designers themselves within wastage of Stone. Yet, this house emerges boldly with Clean Lines & Beautiful use of Stone has its Stand in the world of Design.

“The essence of this design is controlled by two main elements-the visual aesthetics prevailing throughout and stimulating play of black floor over white walls and intricate artifacts used.”
