  • Classic 4BHK Minimalist Apartment Penthouse Is In The Heart Of Ahmedabad | Space Studio

This classic 4BHK minimalist apartment and penthouse is located in heart of Ahmedabad. The path taken for the project was tailored as per the requirements of the clients. The owners of this house are a couple in their mid-forties living here in Ahmedabad. I tried to translate the emotions of the client into a striking living space.

Classic 4BHK Minimalist Apartment Penthouse Is In The Heart Of Ahmedabad | Space Studio

When I first visited the minimalist apartment I saw raw concrete ceilings , few concrete walls, dark Italian marble and huge balcony with clear green view of C. N. Vidhyalaya, glazed huge windows. On that time only I decided to use earthy Palette with  mix contemporary elements to give a unique feel to the space. I have kept all ceiling and beams as it is naked concert and used open led and profile led for proper lighting.

Being the only minimalist apartment on a 7th floor of a 7-storey building, the entire entrance lobby is designed keeping the theme of the house in view. As you enter this plush apartment, a fancy wooden console unit paired with a decorative mirror stands out well against grey textured wall.

Once you enter, you come through a huge main door into the formal living area & informal living area which has these huge glass sliders which opens in to balcony covered with floor to ceiling drapes. After discussions with the homeowners, a modern open and flexible layout was agreed upon.

The core of the design philosophy was to have abundance of natural light and ventilation, an open plan layout with an unapologetic contemporary and minimal finish.

The living area is stylish and simply detailed with some fabric finish. The use of rich materials infuses a whiff of freshness to the otherwise stark spaces.

    MINIMALISM

“Minimalism is not about having less. It’s about making room for more of what matters”

The formal living space further blends effortlessly into informal living, dinning space , family sitting and kitchen.

There was only one solid wall in that whole area so I decided to give it an artesian touch with hand painting by @studiokalasar.

    MASTER BED ROOM

When one walks further towards the master bedroom, this cozy space punctuates warmth. This space oozes sheer luxury and calmness. This room has two full height glass walls.

Muted shades of white oakwood, teak wood and concert ceiling merge with the beige -colored curtains to give a very soothing visual feast.

    DAUGHTER’S BED ROOM

A passageway opens up to the four bedrooms. On the left hand side is the daughter’s room. According to the daughter’s style, the room is all white and grey.
