Esteemed, classy, and warm! These three words summarize the vibe that this cozy den would drench one into. A perfect stay for a family with a busy working couple and a daughter, who would want their day to end amidst relaxing and soothing spaces. A timeless design for the Scandinavian-inspired residence was conceptualized by the Bengaluru-based firm Aishwarya Interiors Pvt. Ltd. They not only conceptualized a fresh, timeless, and modern-day interior but also weaved in those Scandinavian attributes along with the neo-classical elements to underline the true essence of a space i.e., its feel.

A lot of exploration with boisterous textures, accentuating artworks, and installations is what lies at the core of the spaces in this 2400 square feet residence. Meanwhile, the whites and greys take the backdrop and undertone. Thus, making up the major color palette. Together, they work in magnifying the spatial dimensions perceptually. Indeed, the soothing, Scandinavian-inspired interiors and the outpouring of simplicity is what define the vibe of the place.
A decent vestibule transudes one into the core interior spaces. A beautiful and mesmerizing artwork done in glass mosaic welcomes one gleefully. The lotus and the pond are adorned with hints of blues, yellow, and greens. It’s a breathtaking piece curated by the principal designer herself. Further in, a white textured brick wall introduces the interiors that are going to be revealed. This wall is full of elemental attributes with a Buddha idol over a granite console. A blue marble painting introduces the blue interrupting the monotony of the design and colors just right.
This niche is creatively styled with warm yellow hanging lights, green plants, and some inclusive décor pieces. Another interesting installation lies over the opposite wall. It’s a ‘xoxo’ backed with a mirror and grey wallpaper. The precision required while installing was indeed challenging.
The living space is exuberant, simplistic, and wrapped in ultimate sophistication. It appears luxurious, sober, and classic- all at the same time. The walls are in plain white- dutifully textured and elegantly enhanced with mesmerizing artworks.
large sized window pane duly works in accentuating the space with its spellbound daylight. The intervention by the plaster of Paris grid ceiling transforms the spatial perception here. Meanwhile, the furnishings take the rich hues of blue and grey; balancing the whole setup.
About the white console facing the seating, the fabric wall art is what binds the space with elegance and richness.
It’s dining with a view! Window and a balcony opening on each side of the table create a dining experience in itself.
The color palette is restricted majorly to whites and greys. With neat design and an interplay of textures, this space completes itself.
What changes the perception and the elemental quality here is the blue ombre curtain. Aided by the natural light from behind, the ombre casts its spell upon the interior spaces.
The adjacent kitchen is more of a classic-inspired one with simplistic and a fresh vibe. A lot of natural light is welcomed onto the surfaces.
The island platform along with the peripheral cooking platform speaks of their territorial qualities and functional conveniences. Altogether, the self-marble designs and a minimal approach transverse a lively arena.
The bar is designed in a way that asserts a sense of privacy while establishing a taste of assertive sophistication and luxury. Again, refined with uncomplicated hues and minimal design, it is the composition of elements, textures, and materials that work wonders.
A grid ceiling and a fancy fan accentuate its perception further. To complete the look, minimal seating and a minimal art installation work just right.
Duly wrapped in whites, the master bedroom is soothing and equally functional. The introduction of a rattan mat for the cupboards adds a very interesting texture and tone.
Keeping the other furnishings sober, a diligent grey texture is added for the bed-back and the back-lit framed wall. A spacious walk-in dressing is adorned with PU coats and horizontal lines elaborating the space perception.
It oodles of its ultimate simplicity and sophistication. Besides, there is a niche with a study table by the window adding to the conveniences further.
For the teenage daughter, there is a comfy bay seating which happened to be her prior requirement along with a few neon elements.
There is a riveting play of mass and void for the storage beside this bay seating. The concept was such that it had to be timeless and lively.
While the other design is plain sailing, the sliding door for the cupboard takes two slant graphics.
The grandparents’ cum guest bedroom is soft with soothing hues. It is decently furnished with wall paneling and a mild blue hue across.
The design is such that the space portrays itself as a single entity flushed with natural light. Simple lines and neat design are what define this room.
Further adding to the comfort of the stay, a media room is put in place. The rear wall is covered in film posters that define the space in itself. Alternate black and white for the curtains and the lounge to cater to the intended appearance of the space.
Ultimately, fruitful designing is all about doing justice to the client brief. This residence, when revealed to the client post-completion, did nothing but bring tears to the clients’ eyes. It had to be their dream adobe they had all dreamt of.
