This is a project aimed at creating a space that embodies contemporary elegance with a touch of luxurious charm. The principal designers Susanna Eapen and Jinson Abraham joined two 1BHK to make a massive 3BHK with a spacious living room and master bedroom. They wanted to create a space that exudes glamour while maintaining a refined and modern aesthetic. The key element of effortless glamour lies in the selection of materials, finishes, and textures. Statement pieces, such as the chandelier with cascading crystals, add a touch of grandeur and become focal points that draw the eye. Lighting plays a crucial role in creating an ambiance of glamour and sophistication. Strategic placement of both natural and artificial lighting sources helps to accentuate architectural features and highlight key design elements.

The space was created for a family of 6 who completely trusted out design sense and gave us complete reins. All they wanted was a sophisticated and elegant house Despite the opulence, there’s a sense of effortless flow and balance. The design doesn’t feel overdone or cluttered; instead, it’s a well-curated space that exudes a sense of luxury without feeling forced.
The living room has a sense of aura with the deep velvet sofa in a rich wine red upholstery. The subtle gold detail across the room gives in a sense of luxury in absolute ease. Plush, velvet sofas with elegant tufting, mirrored coffee tables, and ornate shelving for displaying decorative items. The paneling behind the TV was intended to give the way a sense of layered depth with overpowering.
The dining space was a space created with a semi-open partition so as to not close the space but to bifurcate it. We made sure to give the space, though small, a life of its own hiding away a maintenance door in its backdrop and it became a statement even though it was made to blend in with the wall paneling and the rattan panel also allows to convenient cross ventilation.
The outside of the house was finished in a layer of zinc texture so that the light refects it and a wide-open safety door.
The smallest bedroom of the house (the daughter’s bedroom) is soothing to the eye because of its colors and is envisioned by a teenage girl who has to plan her entire life ahead of her.
The other bedrooms were a play in neutrals and muted colors to help in the sophisticated aura including a bed bed with a plush headboard.
While each room may have its unique features, it should still be connected by a consistent thread of glamour and sophistication throughout the entire home. The aim was to create a space that’s visually stunning, inviting, and comfortable while exuding an air of sophistication.
It strikes a balance between modernity and timeless elegance, resulting in a design that’s both captivating and approachable.
