A Sliver of Bronze : An Indulgence of Novelty in Luxurious Interiors | Design Studio Associates

Visit : Design Studio Associates

The philosophy of Design Studio Associates, the Vadodara-based firm, is to evoke luxury by introducing trending materials and furnishings in the interiors. Their client-oriented approach has brought about captivating projects of varying scales without failing to reflect a touch of their personal philosophy. Ar. Ruchir Sheth, the principal designer of the firm, carried out this philosophy down to the minutest of details within an area of 1160 Sq.ft.

The foyer space is rather welcoming, where one can spot an elegant bronze mirror placed over a sleek console table with bronze legs neatly aligned to the edge. The balance of the clean lines framing the foyer and the subtle bronze elements that glistens at the periphery of eyesight manifests minimalist luxury. Spotting one’s reflection in the lustrous mirror gives a warm feeling of belongingness and safety. The intricate engraving on the timber main door is a striking element worth noticing.

The aluminium louvred sheet in the backdrop of a cool grey sofa set in the living room adds a touch of contrast to the otherwise warm undertone. Slivers of bronze glisten from every corner, from the potted plants framing the space to the edge of the stone-finished coffee table.

The diagonal grains of two veneer panels converge at a broader bronze line, creating an alternate focal point from a different perspective. The translucent white curtain allows soft natural light to enter the space.

The wall-mounted TV unit hovers over an MDF cabinet with grooves and black metal legs. The mouldings on the wall beyond the TV unit are a surprising classical element in an otherwise contemporary setting. The open floor plan paves the way for effortless movement throughout the home. The breakfast counter is easily accessible to the living and dining space, where each overlaps smoothly with one another.

The sophisticated chandelier dangles over the five-seat circular dining set, a lustrous element repeating itself once more. The customized circular aluminium serving table with a gold base embraces the five grey chairs neatly aligned around its perimeter. What’s fascinating about these black-legged chairs is the grey tone, which grows darker to almost black as the sun dips the horizon.

Right beside the dining space is a minimalist balcony separating the public and private spheres by a sleek sliding door. The hexagonal wall piece is an eye-catch, which holds small potted plants. The cane chairs and side table is ideal for an intimate conversation over a cup of tea.

The kitchen is a pop of colour in the house, the blue tone visually defining the space. The seamless cabinets and shelves use blue acrylic sheets and full-body tiles back the counters. The custom-made breakfast counter has a readymade black louvred panel, a recurring aspect of the house.

The three bronze lights over the counter are an artistic yet functional element. The black-cushioned MDF high stool at the breakfast counter matches the timber door on the other side, adding a warm ambience to an otherwise pastel tone. Thus being an open plan, the kitchen intermingles with the theme while having its own personality.

The master bedroom, backed with a green velvet wall mounted headboard, has an elegant chandelier outlined by magnetic lights.

The MDF duco-finish side table with gold legs balances with the thin golden line that splits the fabric headboard into two. A wardrobe and TV unit face the bed with a console table that matches the side tables.

Apart from the master bedroom, there are two other bedrooms. One is the guest bedroom, in the backdrop of a readymade louvred sheet and pendant lights on either side. The other is a bedroom, backed by a red fabric headboard and diagonal-grained louvred sheets.

It has a veneer-backed TV unit with a minimalist bronze leg and a black glass profile shutter wardrobe. All three bedrooms have a similar character yet are distinguishable by their cosy outlook, a calmness that could hypnotize anyone into a deep slumber.

An awe-inspiring advantage for any designer is the freedom to design. Design Studio Associates were able to align with their client’s requirements of luxurious interiors to their design philosophy, thus breaking free from any restraints that could potentially block their creative process. As a result, a minimalist luxurious home with a trending pastel tone came into form, bringing together people while providing privacy to get lost in their thoughts.
