A Deluxe Lodging – Apartment Interiors | Amazing interiors

“A young couple approached us to design their newly bought house into a home, they  wanted a minimalist yet opulent feel to their home which was contradictory in itself, so that was a challenge that we had to overcome and yet integrate it in our design” says, designer Vicky Doctor of Amazing interiors. They wished for a home that appealed to the three generations which were going to reside there, so we decided not to opt for flashy bright colors and opt for a neutral colour scheme.

A Contemporary and simple theme was selected with a hint if Destijl Line compositions in various elements of the design. Exploring the Fusion of Metal and woodwork was an integral part of the design Process.

PUJA ROOM

In the Main door the Metal grill is fused with wood and it opens into the puja space where we are greeted with Lord Ganesha perched affront a marble cladded wall with grooves in a holistic pattern.

LIVING AREA

The Elongated space uses an unobtrusive Metal screen as a separator for the living and Dining space. Recliners and Sofa face towards the Honed finish Italian marble cladded wall from which the Flat screen hangs. The Floor has rug of Italian marble with inlay of granite creating in the centre of the seating area with a double layered centre table placed on top.

DINING AREA

A dedicated wooden false ceiling identifies the dining space giving it a warmer feeling with a contemporary brass finish hanging light hanging from it. It sheds light on the custom made Marble top Dining table. Indoor plants places in the corner add another layer of texture to the entire space. The wash area corner is cladded with decorative 3d tiles creating a special nook for the same.

CHILDREN’s BEDROOM

With wooden panelling of solids and voids behind the bed creates a warm the space. A special corner for the study is designed with an astronaut black board, for the child to explore his ideas there and not on the rest of the walls around the house. Tones of grey are used in the walk-in wardrobe and similar toned Italian is used in the bathrooms.

MASTER BEDROOM

Pristine and formal tones are used in the master bedroom. A darker coloured panelling embellishes the wall behind the bed and a beige tile enhances the ambience. A smoked mirror is put on one wall of the room creating an illusion of a bigger space than it actually is.  A rotational screen, on which the TV is hung, separates out the seating area from the bedroom.

PARENT”S BEDROOM

HOME THEATRE & BAR AREA

This space wavers from the overall theme of the house making it more decorative and flamboyant. The Serving table appears to be placed on a thin digital pattern laser cut plate. And with a backdrop of a balanced composition of backlit display shelves, completes the space lightens the mood and sets mood for a get together. Attached with this is a Home theatre with neutral toned acoustic fabric wall finishing and where they can enjoy movies or cricket matches together.

KITCHEN

A modular kitchen of Hafele Company is done in tones of grey and browns as per the clients’ requirements.
