Located at the 11th floor of SFS Apartment complex at Pallimukk, Trivandrum. ‘Nilah’ is a classic home with a contemporary twist. The clients, being a young entrepreneur couple with a young daughter, wanted a home that reflects their personalities- a home that accommodates a modern Indian family lifestyle. Spread across 1900 sq.ft , this 3bhk apartment , nilah is designed with hues of blue being the prominent color as the clients were fond of the tones and hues of blue. With no civil changes proposed, this apartment interior was designed to maintain the spaciousness and fluidity of each space.

Nilah , with a midcentury spirit, is a home dipped in hues of blue with a color pop of yellow to complement the theme. Material palette mainly consisting of cane, wood and fabric were meticulously chosen to reflect our Indian cultural roots. An open interior spatial arrangement was adopted with no visual barriers in this light-filled apartment.
Upon entering, one is greeted with a welcoming buddha sculpture placed on a custom-made wooden console table in the foyer space on an arched backdrop of cane and wood. The custom-made console table was designed to carefully hide away the utility storage with an aesthetic twist.
Moving forward, we reach the heart of the home, the living and dining area. The entire space is a very airy and light filled space with minimal furniture to further bring in the openness of the space. Wainscoted panels dipped in dusk blue lies as a backdrop for the cozy three seater in the living area.
The RebusFarm 3.0 Software allows a cloud rendering directly from your 3D application. With excellent rendering outcomes, RebusFarm helps Architects and Designers to visualize the space as they had envisioned.
The panels are juxtaposed with minimalist golden light fixtures to bring in the additional touch of class and luxury. Paired with a nested coffee table with marble top and golden details , the sofa stand as a design statement in this area.
White grooved tv unit back panel subtly complement the whole space. Facing the balcony with breathtaking views of the cityscapes, lies a swing against floral patterned curtains further bringing in a touch of opulence.
Custom designed dining furniture with chairs and curved bench made in teak wood adorns the dining area which is rendered with a tropical wallpaper in the background.
The path leading to the living from the foyer is accentuated with a custom décor mirror with wooden detail reflecting the Indian heart of this modern family. Every room in nilah , arrests a lot of natural light and ventilation maximizing comfort in the interiors.
The master bedroom opens to a bay window seating with dusk blue upholstery overlooking the city scape. Utility and aesthetics joined hands in this bedroom design with platform bed hiding away utility space underneath. The grid paneled headboard adds a simple and elegant touch to the room with minimal light fixtures adorning it.
One of the client’s favorite space in this apartment is the mirror corner in this room ,which is carefully placed in front of a chic tropical monochromatic wallpaper. The corner hanging light made of cane further adds beauty to this corner.
Nilah , is a happy and joyful render of their love for the color blue. Interiors reflecting their personalities, a private sanctuary where their comfort meets utility with a colourful and aesthetic elegance.
This also acted as an added advantage for the couple who loved hosting parties and get togethers. Patterns and textures have been introduced to bring in some excitement to the analogous aesthetic. The tropical wallpapers used further accentuates the design statement of this classic home.
