Nested amidst the splendid city of Vadodara, we designed a family home with a tasteful blend of serene colors and textures, and a fine combinations of materials. This 3500 sq. ft., 4 bedroom residence built for the Parnami family, brings forth an idealistic home with all the superfluities in a very modest and pleasant way.

The entrance foyer opens up in the living room, which is an exemplary example of contemporary design. Predominant use of elliptical form is easily identical. The custom designed handrail with MS oval pipe and MS stud makes an impeccable impact on the overall feel of the space. The central elliptical painting is a buffed glass printing of an image is complemented with the subtle grooving gives the space a distinct identity.
The use of light grey shade is adorned with the kota tiles and pistachio and grey colored seating. The greens and the elliptically shaped lampshade add life to the space. All of which is embellished by the lush green garden to the west. A distinct cozy relaxation pocket besides the foyer and amidst the living area is created with the grooving partitions for one to sit and loosen-up.
Past the staircase and the living room, we approach the dining area. This space comprises of a dining table that could host about 8 people, one side being chairs and other a distinctive bench-style seating with a sleek MS and veneer back support. The table being centrally supported with Composite white stone top.
The dining area is adorned with an alluring hanging light above the seating. A crockery storage unit is ideally designed with a horizontal floating unit and a fluted shutter cupboard besides it in veneer. The fluted glass, grooving patterns and a serene Buddha sculpture all perfectly blend in together, making the dining area attractive as well as intimate. An overhanging storage unit is observed above the service table unit. Grooving pattern in frost blue shade has been created onto the units in the serving area. The same shade flows all the way in the Kitchen area.
Parent’s Bedroom is located besides the dining area. Subtle blend of Florentine blue and turquoise beautifully complement the plain white tone. Minimal bed-back with the distinctive circular grooving accompanied by a golden Patina projecting outwards is seen. A simplistic mirror is seen on one end besides the bed-side unit.
Wooden veneer on the wardrobe with the J-profile handles is seen in the parent’s Bedroom. The TV unit wall comprises of grooving patterns in the Florentine blue shade along with the drawers being in veneer. Towards the left on the first floor is the elder daughter’s bedroom. With a spectacular amalgamation of materials, the room comprises of a linear study table with a mix of veneer and Matt black tile topped over the surface, along with stretched shelves overhanging above the study. Matt black finish along with veneer bring out an idealistic tone for the room.
Minimal Dark toned grooving above the veneered back is observed on the bed-back wall. The Bed back is complemented with the floral grey fabric. These textures, colors and materials are set against the backdrop of whites within the room.
To the right is the Master bedroom. The approach towards the design of this room was quite minimalistic. Liner grooved laminate is used upon the bed-back, bed-side unit and the TV unit. A mix of Peach tone and wooden grooving sets against the white walls and floor. One can enjoy the view of rejuvenating greens of the outside from the wooden sliding door, while relaxing on the recliner chair.
We have created a semi- private space with a combination of browns and whites. The shelves and drawers are in white and are complemented with the veneer along the back. The wall behind the idol comprises of the divine mantra embossed on veneer followed by grooving patterns on both the sides. The fabricated vertical partition is made up of wooden frame and translucent glass along with MS powder coated pipe running horizontally and vertically making a grid.
On the first floor, amidst both the bedrooms is the puja room. Puja room or the prayer area holds a very significant importance in the Indian households. The approach towards prayer room had been kept very subtle, making one connect within the meditative space and help oneself to come at peace. The design of the space plays a crucial role in enhancing the spirituality of the puja room.
As one approaches towards the second floor, a very beatnik entertainment room awaits you. Entertainment, recreational space are the spaces where one can sit and simmer down. The entertainment room consists of a cushy seating space with a sofa and a recliner seating. Seamless storage unit has been designed behind the seating alongside the windows. The overall color scheme comprises of reef green and TV unit wall is of wooden liner laminate. All of this is complemented with the indoor planters around the space.
Alongside the entertainment room, is the younger daughter’s bedroom. The bedroom comprises of a study table alongside which it is extended as seating where one can sit and relax after a tedious study session. The color scheme of the whole space is varied combinations of blue. Grooving pattern is observed on the walls at the study table unit. Optimum use of space is observed via the provision of storage units wherever possible. This spacious and beautiful room is definitely a result of fine designing and visualization of a space.
