We started with a bare shell for this apartment and molded it according to the client’s needs. It is a space that makes you feel right at home. Using linear as well as curved forms, this apartment has a soul of its own.

The space has been segregated by the material and color, formal spaces in a neutral palette and the informal spaces being highlighted with pops of color.

It is a space that makes you feel right at home. Using linear as well as curved forms, this apartment has a soul of its own. The space has been segregated by the material and colour, formal spaces in a neutral palette and the informal spaces being highlighted with pops of colour.

Using furniture from high end international brands such as Gallotti and Radice, Roche Bobois, Giorgetti, Baxter, as well as Indian brands and designers such as Arjun Rathi, Minotti, and Hatsu, this house has it all.

We tried using neutral colors to make the space look clean, but added a pop of color in some spaces to make it look a bit edgier at the same time.

Making use of the amount of ventilation and natural light it already offered, we didn’t want to hamper it with brick walls, so we went with glass partitions instead in a lot of spaces.

Every room has a different story and monotony to it, representing its resident.

The design philosophy was to segregate spaces, but not with enclosed walls, make the house look much bigger than it already is, yet make the spaces segregated, so everyone has a little privacy when they need it.

Every site has at least one thing that it teaches the designer, Our takeaway from this house  was that client’s one unusual demand can lead to beautiful creations, and also make us go beyond our own design understanding to fulfil it, yet balance with our own design process.

The main challenge was dividing spaces into so many enclosed rooms yet, not using blocked walls. Using glass partitions is an easy option, but keeping in mind the privacy is of utmost importance.

Client Brief- They required a spacious, ventilated and bright yet neutral house. Not too much drama happening everywhere, but yet classy, minimalistic and some pop of color.
