  • This Delhi Home Shapes Classic Interiors Around Personality | The Concreate Story

    [Sassy_Social_Share]

The residence sits in Greater Kailash (GK1), one of Delhi’s most prestigious neighbourhoods, spanning approximately 750 square yards, or roughly 6,000 square feet of carpet area. Designed with classic interiors, the home creates an unexpected sense of pastoral retreat despite its location on the main road of this premium colony.

This Delhi Home Shapes Classic Interiors Around Personality | The Concreate Story

The home belongs to two self-made lawyers and their daughter, who is also pursuing law. The remarkable trust this family placed in us stands out the most. As clients, they gave us the creative freedom to explore ideas with confidence.

    Classic Interiors

Rather than arriving with mood boards and Pinterest collections, they came with something more valuable: a clear emotional vision expressed through words, not images.

Their brief was beautifully literary: they wanted a very well-lit, open home that felt both English and French in spirit. Clean, light-colored upholstery.

    Classic Interiors

A sense of breathing space. They had a few treasured pieces, carved mirrors, old rugs that were heirloom pieces, tapestries—that they wanted woven into the narrative.

The house is named “Dev Raj” after their parents. This wasn’t just about creating a beautiful space; it was about honouring roots, legacy, and building something with genuine emotional resonance.

    Classic Interiors with English-French Influences

The home embraces classic interiors inspired by what can best be described as “Contemporary English-French Cottage Classicism”—warm, poetic, and quietly regal. It evokes the charm of a French château relocated to the English countryside, thoughtfully reinterpreted for contemporary living.

There’s elegance here, but never intimidation. Luxury softened by light, texture, and a tactile warmth that invites you to actually live in the space, not just admire it.

Our inspiration came from a deliberate rejection of digital shortcuts. The core concept is centred on personality-driven design. We believe fundamentally that no two people are alike, so no two homes should be either.

A house doesn’t need to follow a single rigid theme. Different rooms can—and should—carry different moods because different personalities inhabit them.
