Modern tropical residential architecture approach that balances openness, functionality, natural ventilation, and visual connectivity. The concept focuses on creating a warm family-oriented home with a strong connection to nature through courtyards, double-height volumes, and open planning. Natural materials, wooden textures, and soft neutral tones enhance the sense of comfort, while carefully planned spatial zoning ensures privacy for private areas and openness for social spaces.
The Idea Of This Home Was To Design Family-Oriented Spaces | amAC Architects
The entrance opens into a welcoming foyer that visually connects to the courtyard and staircase. Wooden finishes, PVC panels, and truss detailing add character while maintaining a modern aesthetic. The foyer sets a warm and inviting first impression.
The living space is designed as a double-height volume that enhances spatial experience and ventilation. Large openings ensure ample daylight. The layout maintains a balance between openness and privacy, to maintain the family-oriented concept, allowing seamless connection with dining while remaining visually calm.
The dining area is an open and centrally located space capable of accommodating 10 people suitable for a large family.
The kitchen is contemporary in style with efficient workflow planning and direct connectivity to dining and work areas.
Courtyards and open passages act as breathing spaces within the house. Balconies and transitional areas strengthen the indoor-outdoor relationship and improve ventilation. The project draws inspiration from contemporary tropical residential architecture, focusing on climate-responsive design, open layouts, and minimal material palettes.
