The latest outpost of the iconic 1522 brand in Hebbal marks an evolution in its design language. It retains its signature charm while stepping into a more refined, expressive aesthetic. This space is where boldness meets restraint, and where timeless classics are reimagined through a modern lens. Here, every corner holds a detail waiting to be discovered.
The Design Language Of This Space Is Rooted In A Refined, Expressive Aesthetic | Studio Camarada
Spread across two expansive levels, 1522 Hebbal draws inspiration from a blend of neo-classical motifs. The design language of bohemian flair results in an eclectic yet cohesive identity. The entire experience begins with the bold black-and-white chequered flooring. It guides patrons through the space, offering a sense of rhythm and balance. The architects mirrored this striking element in the ceiling, where coffered details and patterned inlays reflect the flooring’s language. It creates a harmonious duality between above and below.
Brick-clad walls add warmth and texture, grounding the design with an honest, tactile materiality that ages gracefully. The addition of dramatic lighting, including vintage-inspired chandeliers and custom pendants, creates pockets of intimacy while also highlighting the play between raw and refined finishes.
Throughout the venue, curated portraits, tapestries, and framed artwork line the walls, giving the space an almost gallery-like quality. Rich drapery in deep tones softens the openness of the floor plan and brings a sense of old-world glamour to the interiors. These elements collectively create a moody yet inviting palette, offering something familiar yet distinctly new.
Every decision at 1522 Hebbal—from the flooring patterns to the lighting, upholstery, art, and spatial planning—was made with the intent to create a space that doesn’t just host an experience but becomes one. The new venue reasserts the brand’s ability to reinvent itself while staying rooted in the values that built its cult following: community, culture, and character.
With a design that pays homage to classic pub sensibilities while embracing a more contemporary, expressive voice, 1522 Hebbal is not just another address—it’s a destination.
