This Minimal Apartment In Bangalore Defines ‘Less is More’ | RN Deesign

Designed a 1300 sq ft 3bhk minimal apartment; this being our very first project in Bangalore, Karnataka has not only given us 1300 sq ft of space for designing, but has made us believe in ourselves more than we could have imagined as there was budget constraint leaving us with no scope for developing 3d design and mass detailed drawing for this particular project. After going through immense brainstorming and discussions, we finally had a design built up in our heads as per the requirements, and we could put it across in the entire space through sketches and site visits, giving us exactly what we wanted as the final outcome.

Designed for a very cute couple, the requirements were crystal clear: a modern and minimalist approach towards design aspects with ease of maintenance. This apartment solely defines the phrase ‘less is more’. The strategic use of colour palette for each room resonates with the occupants’ lifestyle and preferences.

minimal apartment

Living Area

The living room has a clean yet stylish visual appearance accompanied by abundant natural light and fresh air. Neutral, contrasting colours have been used sparingly in the bar unit to avoid overpowering the rest of the decor.

Dining Area

The stunning base of dining table along with customised chairs and bench incorporated with a mini bar creates an impact through shapes and colours. The vibrant wallpaper brings in warmth and a refresh to the space.

Kitchen

The parallel kitchen has a subtle backslash following soft shade cabinets blending with the living area creating a soft yet stylish look.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom has a patterned headboard creating a focal point and so to unify the rest of the room we opted for a neutral base palette. Warm, earthy shades complimenting the headboard and ambient lighting gives equilibrium across the room.

Kids’ Bedroom

The kids room portrays a playful space having quirky wardrobe handles and storage knobs, interesting hand painted bed back wall and a large scale wallpaper paired with subtle blinds and a soft fabric bed making it a perfect den for kids where they can be just themselves.

Parents’ Bedroom

The eye-catching wide headboard with soothing colours and minimal pattern is aesthetically appealing. A cosy bay window is perfect for unwinding with a cup of coffee and a good book.

The walls, lights, bedding, curtains and accessories adds charm to the room creating a perfect elder-friendly room.
