Earthy Interior Design Of This Home Creates A Timeless And Inviting Living Space | Studio Suba

At Studio Suba, we relish the chance to partner with homeowners who have a vision and an open mind. Partnering with a multigenerational family, including a young couple, their child, and the grandparents, the design team Madhuja and Sagar (Studio Suba) masterfully crafted an earthy interior design that creates a warm, inviting sanctuary where each corner speaks of thoughtful design and functionality.

The entrance, adorned with earthy terracotta hues and a cement-textured backdrop, immediately sets the
tone, blending rustic charm with contemporary sensibilities. Teakwood hooks provide both function and
nostalgia, offering a preview of the carefully curated details that define the home’s interior.

Living and Dining Area

The living and dining areas are an exercise in seamless sophistication. Spanning 1,550 square feet, the spaces are divided by a subtle level change, enhancing fluidity while maintaining distinct zones. The black-polished teakwood dining table stands as a bold centerpiece, complemented by sleek, oxidized copper pendant lights that lend a refined edge to the space. Natural light pours through east-facing windows, illuminating the terracotta tones that continue through the ceiling.

The ceiling in the living area continues the terracotta theme, creating a cohesive, warm ambiance. Natural light floods the space through east-facing windows, amplifying the rustic charm of the terracotta tones.

The open electrical conduit on the ceiling, a design choice to minimize the use of POP in the Mivan construction, adds to the simplicity. A minimalist TV unit paired with oxidized patina copper pendant lights maintains a clean, uncluttered aesthetic, emphasizing both style and functionality

Parents’ Bedroom

The parents’ bedroom offers a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity with its dual-tone wooden palette and low-seating mandir.

The teakwood wardrobe stands against the ash wood textured bedside, while open shelving along the wardrobe adds practical elegance. This room is a serene retreat that honors their preferences while providing contemporary comfort.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom, bathed in a palette of soft whites and grounded by warm wooden accents, exudes an air of refined serenity. Moreover, this tranquil retreat effortlessly blends understated elegance with modern functionality.

Discreetly integrated storage solutions maintain the room’s clean, clutter-free aesthetic. Moreover, it enhancing its calming atmosphere. The space serves as a personal sanctuary, offering a seamless blend of tranquility and sophistication, where each detail reflects a balance between relaxation and thoughtful design.

Kid’s Bedroom

Wrapped in soothing blue shades, the kid’s bedroom exudes lightness and openness. A playful platform bed harmonizes with simple oak wood tones, crafting a space that is both whimsical and restful. This room is designed to nurture creativity and play, while maintaining a tranquil atmosphere for sleep and relaxation.

One of the project’s key challenges was to incorporate extensive storage solutions that cater to the family’s diverse needs. We designed specialized storage units for linens, shoes, toys, ties, purses, stoles, bangles, and dupattas. Each unit is seamlessly integrated into the overall design, ensuring a harmonious look throughout the apartment. These solutions not only meet practical needs but also enhance the home’s aesthetic appeal.

A Homely Haven: The Essence of Design

If the essence of this house had to be captured in a single word, it would be “homely.” Every space is meticulously crafted to be both functional and inviting, avoiding any design elements that might become eyesores.
