Mu-Mu Photography Studio | Han Yue Interior Design Co., Ltd

By means of metabolism architectural concepts, we hope to make this studio photography is about nature, closer to humanity, and with unpredictable wonders. Instead of most regular photography studios, this project pursues for an organic and diverse and creative space. For example, we build a indoor greenhouse, decorated with sheer drapes and dried flower bouquets. Moreover, the giant truss bridge attracts attention at the center of space.

It’s not only a iconic scene for photo-shooting, but also helps photographers to find various views at its vantage point. There’s no obvious partition boundaries among eight spots we designed and each scene is adaptive to one other. Natural sunlight gives additional touches, creating endless possibilities while photo-shooting.

    FACT FILE:

Architectural firm: Han Yue Interior Design Co., Ltd

    Project Name: Mu-Mu Photography Studio

    Category: Commercial, Photography Studio

    Photography: Yi-Hsien Lee Photography

    Location: Taichung city, Taiwan

    Space: 350 sqm

We want this space look organic and changeable, and also creative, not like traditional photography studio. We use the metabolism architectural concept in the idea of design, to make this place more nature, more humanity, and with unpredictable changes. Moreover, we have to make them able to blend with each other, to make it diverse.

We designed a geometrical bridge in the centre of the space, it can be a scene for photo shoot, and it can also be a vantage point for photographers to use. Moreover, we use square tubes to build a house inside a house, using wood board as background wall, with different material to decorate. This way to make the visual coherent.

Other than the eight spaces we designed, the spaces in between have no obvious boundaries. We not only have to maintain the coherence of the space, but also have to make it different. Therefore it can combine with each other and form a new space by using flowers, furniture, and decorations. The sun is also an element for people to use. Different angle of sunlight gives photographers more element to use.
