Developed by Isprava and designed by designer Aashni Kumar, this 3BHK holiday home in Goa property spans an impressive 4000 sq ft. Thus, offering a unique retreat experience for its residents. Located amidst the verdant landscapes of Assagao, Goa, Castello Vaddo 2 emerges as a masterpiece of contemporary design and refined luxury. The concept of this holiday home in Goa was imbued with the charm of modern-Portuguese style. This offers a fresh perspective on old-world aesthetics. Neutral tones, natural materials, and timeless architectural elements formed the cornerstone of the design. Thus reimagining a historic Goan residence from the 1800s while honouring its inherent character.

As one steps into Castello Vaddo 2, one sees the ground-level foyer, where the design pays homage to the rich heritage of Portuguese architecture. Textured tiles, reminiscent of the traditional floors found in historic Portuguese homes, pave the way forward. Moreover, setting the stage for what lies ahead. Tall arches gracefully frame the entrance, beckoning guests to venture further into the heart of the home. Here, in the living area, the juxtaposition of old-world charm and modern sophistication takes centre stage. Classical gilded chandeliers cast a warm, inviting glow, infusing the space with an air of grandeur. Thus also creating an image of the past meeting the present.
For Aashni, the open living and dining area nestled at the core of this holiday home in Goa stands as a timeless essence of contemporary design. Taupe-drenched rafters guide one’s gaze across the room, leading to an expansive skylight that floods the dining area with daylight. Classic accordion doors and arched windows frame glimpses of the outdoor greenery, creating a beautiful connection between indoors and outdoors.
The passage also leads visitors to an en-suite guest bedroom, a well-appointed kitchen, and a convenient pantry—all seamlessly integrated into the flow of the space. This design ensures both practicality and visual harmony throughout the lower level.
Moving to the upper floor, guests are guided by arched forms and two-tone walls that define the hallway, leading to several inviting en-suite bedrooms. Each room is meticulously designed to evoke a serene atmosphere, encouraging residents to relax and enjoy the comforts of home.
In one of the bedrooms, coastal charm is infused through blue-hued cement tiles, while the master bedroom features elegant cane installations that introduce natural texture. A spacious walk-in wardrobe area combines functionality with timeless sophistication, offering ample storage without compromising on style.
At the heart of this home lies a theme that fosters a connection with nature while providing residents with a personal retreat. The material palette reflects this ethos, anchored by textured beige stone flooring, kota stone, blue-coloured cement tiles, and patterned mosaic floors. We brought together warm, rustic elements such as jute and cane, complemented by elegant gold metal accents. Thus creating a tactile experience that enhances the overall warmth and charm of the space.
Aashni’s design philosophy lies at the intersection of minimalism and maximalism, aiming to create immersive spaces that resonate with shared experiences and connect with function, art, and design. With its captivating charm and timeless elegance, Castello Vaddo 2 invites residents to immerse themselves in a world of beauty, tranquillity, and sophistication. “Castello Vaddo 2 blends timeless charm with modern comfort, inspired by Portuguese heritage yet designed for contemporary living. Every corner of the villa is crafted to offer peace and luxury, creating a serene retreat in the heart of Assagao, Goa.” Aashni Kumar.
