Swasthi is a cozy home that exudes undeniable warmth | ARK Architecture Studio

Swasthi is a humble attempt at designing a peaceful sanctuary keeping the concept of simple living intact. Proposing no structural changes to the existing structure, an uncluttered layout with minimal and functional elements laid the base canvas for the project. An ethnic theme owing to the couple’s love for Indian prints and patterns fused with minimal contemporary decor was the chosen approach for this cozy and classy home. Pops of cool colours like lavender, mint blue and minty green were carefully chosen to further add in a sense of excitement to the subtle and neutral palette followed in this home.

Upon entering , one is welcomed to this home by the cozy living area overlooking the balcony with an elegant swing with plants all around. A sofa seating duo with shades of lavender and blue with a beige base palette sits comfortably in this space .

The white minimal Tv unit was a conscious decision to keep the minimalism of the space intact. The apartment is blessed with ample sunlight which further accentuates the beauty of this elegant home .

A play of shades of wood can be seen in this space with lighter shades similar to oak wood used in the units and shutters while darker walnut shades stuck with minimal furniture elements.

A subtle and tropical wallpaper adorns the ceiling above the dining which blends in with the space seamlessly. The little peek-ins of rattan pattern elevates the porosity of the space with ample natural light reforge beauty of Swasthi.

A custom minimal pooja space with little arch detailing dipped in rattan and accents of lavender, stands in front of Indian patterns as backdrop .

A short corridor lead us to two bedrooms on the rear end of the apartment . The master bedroom with a light green accent wall with custom art decor serves as the backdrop for the bed furnished in cane and wood textures.

The minimal wardrobe units were again carefully chosen to in keep with the visual subtlety. An overlooking balcony brings in the much needed natural light and ventilation to this space which adds on to the overall ambience.

The bedroom on the left being the secondary bedroom was treated with shades of soft blue – beige tones. Intricate wooden carved decor in white is one of the striking elements in this room. Custom bed detailed with rattan work further brings in the feeling of ethnicity to this home.

Swasthi is a quiet home that feels like a warm hug with subtle Indian aesthetics fused with  contemporary and modern functionality. This simple and timeless home is the elderly couple’s sanctuary to lead their simple and minimal everyday life.
