As one walks by, the foyer unrolls itself in tones of blue and white and a passage from the entrance foyer opens in a large dinning hall and knits the living area on the right side. As you enter this plush apartment, a fancy royal blue wooden console unit paired with a hand painted pichwai canvas painting stands out well against plain white wall.
Use of teak wood, veneer, Italian stone ,brass, m.s. structure and canvas have been used extensively to generate warmth in apartment. The 30’ long balcony is the most important part of this apartment.
The concept for living room was to create a space with clean lines, keeping them neat, and minimal. The definitive walls and partitions in the living room speak the contemporary language.
A 9 ft wide opening between living area and dinning area were made to appear like one continuous space. So to break the vision between to give privacy to both area I designed a metal partition with rotating panels of fluted glass and teak wood verticals with brass inlay.
Italian stone dinning table, metal partition and classic piped chandelier gives elegant feel. This space is quite vibrant compared to the overall clean theme of the home.
The place that I enjoyed designing the most was kid’s room as they gave me free reign to do what i felt like would be best in their given brief and it really turned out great.”
I used free line hand drawing, hand painted walls and a nakshatra star ceiling above the bed.
The son’s room is furnished with lowlights and a exposed brick work and concert panels. The overarching theme of this room has been designed keeping in mind a sense of style as well as functionality.
This bedroom by minimalistic hues and sophisticated elegance. This room has a calm vibe which is perfect to unwind after a hectic day.
Thoughtful planning of furniture and smart design elements bring together the bedrooms making them look soothingly cozy, comfortable and very elegant.
Perceived from the exteriors, the concrete flows from the architecture, inwards, into beige marble. There’s a change in texture but the continuity is maintained with the color grey.
The house almost feels like a monotone canvas with similar colors blurring into each other.
