  • A Contemporary Home with an Influence of Bohemian Interior Style | Omega Arc + Design

Architects Viveka Sharma and Anshul Jain made the most of the serene home’s 2,000 square feet of mediterranean space—all of it considerably more comfortable than it might have been to carefully play and thought out the use of warm and natural materials and sculptural accents. For this project, they thought of a contemporary home with an influence of bohemian interior style.

Editor’s note : “This monsoon season, befriend a Bohemian home.” Intricately designed, this contemporary space reflects the bohemian lifestyle of its occupants. Pops of warm colours and earthy notes breathe life into the interiors proliferating a scent of nostalgia and vibrancy. Timber batten ceilings and hand-moulded shelves add a touch of Mediteranianism. An unmissable feature would be the textured wall adorned with pieces of annular-shaped pottery and the cane-matted wooden cupboard in the bedrooms. ~ Venessa Thomas (Co-Editor)

In other words, every detail within this house design has a certain function for the building itself that shows the aesthetic from every corner of the house having layers of carefully selected objects like artwork and furniture.

Every piece kept in the house plays a major role in the overall feel of the home so to make those pieces count which includes plenty of ornamental styling and features including columns and arches.

It also has a distinct color scheme being earth tones. When fresh air is laid out through the balconies, there is a fresh grassy scent that wafts through the room that calms and soothes the mind.

With the front of the house facing the lush forest, the Monsoon Home is truly a sanctuary in harmony with nature.

Earthy tones are delicately interwoven throughout the design, creating a tranquil and soothing environment that perfectly complements the tropical surroundings.

Adding a delightful twist to the palette, splashes of yellow breathe life into the interiors, bringing vibrant energy and a special dimension to the Monsoon Home.

As the monsoon season arrives, this burst of color will evoke a sense of joy and rejuvenation.

One of the standout features of this project is a unique wall adorned with intricately carved niches. These niches serve as showcases for a collection of earthy terracotta artefacts, adding character and a touch of cultural heritage to the Monsoon Home.

Each piece tells a story, contributing to the overall aesthetic and inviting conversation and curiosity.
