Exhibition design is an emerging endeavour with ample room to explore and experiment. Curating a stall must be precise and expressive of what it represents and aspires to convey. An engaging motive of this typology is its temporary presence, which broadens the use of types of substances and products utilized for its form. The creative young design firm, ‘Studio Imagine’ recently built a Stall Design for Credai Property Show 2023 in Vadodara. The studio believes in delivering simplicity with keeping a factor of sustainability on top, using eco-friendly materials.

Having a high affinity for details, the studio asserts to maintain the essence of space alive. The principal architect, Ajal Shah, is an ardent follower and practitioner of the famous saying “Less is more”, an ideology that is reflected in his designs. The design firm founded and located in Vadodara, Gujarat, recently designed two kiosks at the Credai property show, in 2023, at Vadodara, Gujarat. The vision and ideation were to keep the developer’s, who is the client in this case, wishes and identity upfront.
Atmiya Stall
The attractive world of the Atmiya stall is stepped through an ‘A’ and greeted by teal and indigo shades of the sitting area, geometric flooring patterns and displays of the clientele’s accomplishments. An impressive ceiling installation takes its spiritual inspiration from the Sudarshan chakra, giving voice to the developer’s beliefs and faith.
The design inspiration of the same is from bicycle spokes. The ceiling is certainly a captivating and elemental feature. There is a conscious change in the materials of the wall with a concrete finish and steel bars arranged in a perpendicular direction.
The circular shape of concrete plates on the steel bars poses a different narrative to the surface of the kiosk.
A steel grey concrete finish Vadodara map faces the entrance. It announces the areas of the city the developer has left a mark in. Discussion tables and potted plants fill up the floor space with sincerity.
The design team used a rustic theme to showcase and highlight the construction materials, placing the clientele’s intent at the forefront. The two stalls named Atmiya and Eshanti measure 387 and 194 sq. ft. of area respectively.
Eshanti Stall
Eshanti group stall accommodates a simpler and straightforward approach. The terracotta tiles add a tone of nostalgia to the design execution. The screen wall has little pockets to accommodate potted saplings, bringing life to the space.
The triangular forms on the wall are made from MS pipes and embedded with MS perforated sheets. There is a language of clean and crisp lines observed throughout the stall, with their projects on exhibit.
The shadows of the bars from the ceiling pour over to the walls and floors, creating an exciting piece of presentation together.
The fantastically executed ceiling of the Atmiya stall and triangular cutouts of the Eshanti stall creates a quality for people wanting to stay. These two kiosks are an instance of why stall designing can be a challenging task. Considering the inviting, engrossing, aesthetical and functional aspects of a small space with a short lifespan is a skill to hone.
