Editor’s note : ‘Simplicity at its best’ This residence showcases an eye-soothing neutral palette gracefully adapted into each space, along with an intriguing ceiling design in the hall, and thoughtful Indian touches in the furnishings that keep it interesting. ~ Aditi Shah (editor)
Mr. Kakadia adds-“We envisioned the house to be a home that is a mélange of luxury and sophistication, designed to be aesthetically pleasing as well as abode for its residents.”
The entrance exudes simplicity with a touch of elegance. Even the nameplate is designed to retain the old charm. The space opens into a grand living area upon entering, where a dramatic effect is created by emphasizing wooden sofas surrounded by various decors and a darkly textured rug on the floor.
Whereas the focal point of the space is the uniquely designed wooden ceiling, with its impressive and delicacy, merging with the echoed plain white ceiling. All these minute details blend together and reflect the designer’s immense zeal for the space.
“The client gave us free rein in conceptualizing and carrying out the entire project,” Henish Kakadia explained.
“The only request from the client was to have the house to seem clean and habitable, rather than a gaudy place crammed with belongings.”
This is how work is created when the client gives you complete creative control over design and execution.
Their family home benefits with an open floor plan, particularly in the living, dining, and the kitchen areas. The relationship between these spaces dates to the traditional period.
The kitchen is perpendicular to the dining and living rooms, and it is designed in a modern theme.
with wooden cabinets and Moroccan tile backsplashes, giving it a cherubic touch. Furthermore, the artistically bodacious wooden dining table emitting luscious, rooted vibes is the attracting part of the space.
Different pastel palettes are used in each bedroom. Most of them are subtle and bold, holding an individual characteristic. One feature that all these rooms hold in common is the use of wood, an organic material that represents life, growth, and strength
Wicker wardrobes offset the sturdy appearance of the wooden edifices by radiating an intricate and fragile beauty.
The designer’s integration of space is characterized by the perfect amalgamation of the spaces into the house, which reflects distinctive features of each space, making it look more elegant and sophisticated in its own way.
