This Home With Soft Tones Offers a place to Pause & Relax | Hoot At Sight

[Sassy_Social_Share]

This 1150 sq ft 3BHK residence with soft tones for the Shelke family began with a simple yet heartfelt brief; they wanted a home that would captivate the family members and their guests, a place where every corner offered something to pause and appreciate. Over the span of three months, through thoughtful discussions, detailed selections, and collaborative teamwork, the home came together as a reflection of that vision, and more. Each space gradually took shape into a serene abode, wrapped in calm tones and quiet elegance.

Living Room

As one enters the living room, the eye is drawn to a blue-grey picture wall at the far end, inviting warmth and storytelling. A soft grey sofa anchors the space, offering a vantage point to take in the surroundings, the highlight being the TV unit, detailed with wooden ledges.

Its profile mirrors the bed back design of the master bedroom, offering a subtle preview and visual continuity throughout the home.

Kitchen

Beyond the living area, a peek into the kitchen through the breakfast counter window reveals a palette of blue, Irish cream, and soft greys creating a space designed for function and brewing creativity.

The breakfast counter, an extension of the kitchen worktop offers the perfect space for early morning conversations and late night snacking, softly lit with the pendant lights above.

Guest Room

The first room down the hallway serves as both a guest room and a study. A window-side sitout filters in natural light across the work desk. It slightly overlaps the seating at the corner, forming a snug niche often claimed by their pet, Ferry.

Above the desk, a suspended ceiling-mounted ledge provides practical storage for books and essentials. Additionally, this adds to the aesthetic calm of the room.

Master Bedroom

In contrast, the master bedroom embraces a more modern contemporary tone. Layered hues of blue, cool wooden tones, Irish cream fascias, and monochrome accents come together in a cohesive design.

A large, half-moon-shaped dresser visually expands the space, adding a sense of openness. The bed back, in a monochrome palette with white panels and a black acrylic glass base, is complemented by a single pendant light. Further, creating a cosy reading corner and drawing focus to the heart of the room.

Parents’ Bedroom

In the parents’ bedroom, the bed back stands as the central feature, its symmetry interrupted by two wooden ledges, adding quiet rhythm to the design. A combination of soft wooden textures, Irish cream fascias, a fitting dresser and a picturesque blue grey bed back defines the room’s calming, modern aesthetic, perfectly in tune with their needs.
