This Classic Interior Design Transforms Spaces With Timeless Elegance | V Shah Design Studio

In “Katha,” every corner tells a story of craftsmanship, innovation, and the enduring beauty of interior design. This 4 BHK apartment combines classic interior design with modern minimalism. Each element thoughtfully embodies comfort, elegance, and purpose, from the curated materials to the meticulous finishes. The design prioritizes spaciousness and natural flow, ensuring functionality without compromising style.

The design brief for this show flat focused on simplicity and minimalism while ensuring a premium, luxurious feel. To achieve this, we opted for wood panels on the walls, the same color on the walls and ceiling. Thus, allowing custom-crafted furniture with customized paintings.

Material palette taking cues from the personalities of homeowners and their personal tastes—luxury and grounded, both. The color palette plays a crucial role in achieving the elegant atmosphere of the house. The use of neutral tones creates a foundation of tranquility and sophistication.

Editor’s Note: “Situated in Vadodara, the classic interiors of this 4BHK home ‘Katha’ narrate timeless tales in each corner of the house. Through thoughtfully curated furnishings like carved wooden panels, curved metal screens, and contemporary art pieces, the home balances comfort and innovation. The spatial planning of this house creates a seamless flow between the spaces with peculiar interiors suiting each space.” ~ Anusha Sridhar

Foyer

The “Arjuna—Son of the Storm God Indra” sculpture welcomes you in the foyer, with a curved metal screen in the background. The sculpture represents an episode from the ancient Indian epic Mahabharata, where Arjuna wins the challenge by focusing on the fish’s eye and releasing the arrow with precision. A bespoke wood-engraved base for the sculpture is thoughtfully curated, which gives a visual impact of modern minimalism. The metal curved screen works as a modern partition for the dining space. Thus, giving visual contrast.

Living Room, Dining, and Kitchen

The journey unfolds as fine veneer cladding on the wall serves as a canvas for striking contemporary art pieces that set the tone for the living room beyond. Full-size windows offer panoramic views of the bustling balcony outside. Moreover, it allows natural light to flood the space and accentuate the warmth of the wooden accents that envelop the room. Living room and dining spaces are divided by a bespoke floor pattern, which automatically leads to the bedrooms. Furthermore, adjacent to the living room, the dining area continues the theme of veneer panels on walls with a modern clock.

The dining area is adorned with a meticulously crafted wooden base and marble dining table. Furthermore, it enhances the sense of continuity and harmony in the design palette. Modern metal plate hanging lights offer a perfect blend of style, sophistication, and functionality.

Pooja Room

Following the bespoke floor pattern in the passage, one arrives at the pooja room, greeted by sliding doors made of a wooden and fluted glass combination. Here, a full-height veneer panel in grid form with brass knobs and a veneer ceiling creates a serene and sacred space for spiritual positivity.

The palette combines warm neutrals and soft browns, crafting a cozy and inviting atmosphere that feels both calming and welcoming.

Parents’ Bedroom

The bedroom features a striking veneer and fabric headboard. Moreover, it combines textures for a modern yet cozy aesthetic. Sunlight streams through a window. Thus, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Kids’ Bedroom

The kids’ room combines functionality, comfort, and playfulness, creating the ultimate sleep and play heaven. The custom-made bunk bed includes built-in storage, cozy reading nooks, and a sturdy ladder.

Entertainment Room

A compact bedroom transforms into a vibrant entertainment area. However, it becomes the perfect space for relaxing, socializing, and enjoying favorite pastimes. Additionally, the study unit in the entertainment area is a testament to the power of thoughtful design.

By providing a serene, functional, and comfortable space for focus and creativity. A creative carpet adds a touch of personality and whimsy to the space. Thus, setting it apart from ordinary interiors.

Balcony

The living room opens up to a balcony, inviting the gentle embrace of fresh air and the warm embrace of natural light. The balcony offers a serene outdoor retreat, adorned with planters, a modern swing, and handcrafted wooden base artworks in the background.
