We recently designed a boutique salon that stands out as a true embodiment of bohemian aesthetics blended seamlessly with contemporary sophistication. This unique salon offers a refreshing and distinctive experience to its visitors, making it a one-of-a-kind establishment in the realm of boutique salons.
Editor’s Note: In this boutique salon, the essence of bohemian charm intertwines effortlessly with contemporary elegance. Architectural arches gracefully divide the space, blending old-world allure with modern refinement, while concrete screens add a touch of privacy without losing the open, airy feel. This salon is more than a beauty destination—it’s a sanctuary where design and soul converge, offering visitors a uniquely tranquil and sophisticated experience. ~ Isha Bora

The design primarily features a soothing palette of beige shades, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Beige, a versatile and timeless colour, is the perfect backdrop, enhancing the salon’s elegant and serene environment. Therefore, the subtle variations in beige add depth and interest to the space without overwhelming it, allowing the other design elements to shine.
One of the standout features of this salon is the use of architectural arches. These arches add a touch of classical elegance to the space, creating a harmonious blend of old-world charm and modern design. The arches serve an aesthetic purpose and help define the salon’s different areas, guiding visitors through a journey of visual delight.
To enhance the sense of privacy and intimacy, I have incorporated concrete screens that serve as visual dividers. These screens effectively create distinct zones within the open salon layout. This allows clients to enjoy a sense of personal space without feeling isolated. The concrete screens add a contemporary touch to the design, balancing the bohemian elements with a modern edge.
Texture plays a crucial role in the overall design, from the walls to the ceiling. The walls are adorned with stucco textures that add depth and interest to the space.
From rough, unfinished surfaces that evoke a rustic charm to smooth, polished finishes that reflect light and add a touch of sophistication, the textural interplay creates a rich sensory experience for visitors. The ceiling, too, features interesting textures that draw the eye upwards, adding to the sense of height and openness in the salon.
The boho look is further accentuated by eclectic and artistic decor elements scattered throughout the salon. Although, from intricately patterned rugs and cushions to unique light fixtures and decorative accessories, every piece has been carefully chosen to contribute to the bohemian vibe.
These elements create a cosy and inviting environment. Thus, the salon is not just a place for beauty treatments but a sanctuary where clients can relax and unwind.
The furniture in the salon is a mix of vintage and contemporary pieces, each with its own story to tell. Comfortable seating areas invite clients to sit back and enjoy their time. Meanwhile, functional yet stylish workstations ensure that the salon’s practical needs are met without compromising on design. The use of natural materials like wood and rattan adds warmth and texture to the space. Moreover, it enhances the boho aura.
In conclusion, this boutique salon is a perfect blend of bohemian charm and modern sophistication.
