Nestled in the lap of Mother Nature in Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram Dharampur, Gujarat this 1bhk design house has everything natural and wow to offer. The brief for the house was simply to create a space that pulls you to leave the busy Bombay life. This place exactly could nail that. Having an entire combination of blues and whites we wanted to ensure that the contemporary look is set and that it gave a completely cozy feel.
The Cozy Atelier
The walnut veneer is helping break the monotony by its fabulous finish and warmth overall creating a space that will truly help you to feel at home. Since it was a joint family having extra space in the living room of this 1bhk design would be completely necessary and hence doing a complete real wood foldable dining made complete sense.
The heart of this house is a compact yet open living area that exudes charm. Soft lighting, layered curtains, and earthy tones set a soothing mood. A plush sofa, paired with textured cushions and a soft area rug, invites you to sink in and unwind. Smart storage solutions keep the space clutter-free, while floating shelves allow personal touches and greenery to shine.
The flushed bedroom design was specifically made to maintain the design on the wall without any frames coming in between. Adding a small breakfast counter was the perfect breaker between the open kitchen and living room. It is designed as a restful retreat with cozy bedding, ambient lighting, and a neutral palette that encourages relaxation. A padded headboard, blackout curtains, and soft throw blankets create a luxurious yet homely feel. Thoughtfully placed mirrors and warm wooden finishes make the room feel more spacious and inviting.
Talk about a monotone kitchen – BLUE! That’s exactly what our spontaneous reaction was! We undoubtedly and unanimously felt blue was the correct color for our open kitchen and look how beautifully it blends with the entire house! The bedroom is a completely neutral palette yet creating a completely comfortable vibe with its serene colours and multiple textures.
What makes this space feel like home is the intentional use of soft lighting, natural materials, and personal touches throughout the space. It’s not just about design — it’s about creating a lifestyle that feels relaxed, grounded, and uniquely yours.
